  1. Most teams usually have a buly boy type but they are usually central midfielders or centre backs. To have one as a striker is stupid, a strikers job is to score goals..and he cant
  2. Heskey is a donkey, baffled most as to why he's even there at all never mind playing. He hasnt scored for England for a hell of a long time
  3. Baffles me how the media seem to be dismissing the USA as a third rate team, when most of their players play in the premier league and the other half play for top teams across Europe.
  4. sorry I have a tendency to skim read
  5. The only genre I ever even really considered before finding this forum was horror and the odd crime fiction. I since am developing a taste for historical fiction, and have read books I wouldnt have even glanced at before. Infact I probably wouldnt even read if it wasnt for this place. I have read more this year than I have read in my entire life.
  6. Going between the game (I thought Argentina were on first) to the live big brother broadacast
  7. smoking is a ridiculously bad habit to get into, although I can totally see your reasons for doing so. It would be better to be 50 and obese than to be 50, skinny with emphysema. You could maybe try those nicotine only replacement fake cigarette things? They give the same sensation you get from smoking but without inhaling the tar and cyanide you get in cigs. Nicotine by itself whilst addictive is harmless.
  8. There is a live show tonight apparently, I didnt know that
  9. I totally agree the last few episodes have been very average. I've seen the finale tho and enjoyed it.
  10. Dont judge the sport on that France game, it was a really boring rubbish game. There will be much more entertainment in future games.
  11. Just finished Fatherland, not what I was expecting at all and really just finished it so that I could say I did, I lost interest about half way through. Got Under the dome & the book thief from the library
  12. This series really looks like its going to be awesome, the tree is back on form giving orders to the mole last night, putting that thing in there is the best thing they ever did, I love when Nicola T said to it 'you cheeky tree' I think they go out of the house today and go on some kind of rollercoaster, thats the impression I got from the tiny clip last night anyway.
  13. Someone actually said to me today 'you look like you've lost weight' And today is the first time i'm back on lager and general rubbish for the first time in about 3 weeks I'm now going for the everything in moderation approach
  14. Brazil Argentina Spain England Italy Germany Holland France Portugal...are the front runners
  15. Cant believe they think they can get away with charging people to watch it live online. They could get away with that in the first series, but not these days. *cough* justin.tv *cough*
  16. Er you know they arent in it right? oh ok didnt see the disclaimer. Time for bed I think
  17. I'm Welsh and i'll be supporting England. I dont understand this anti english thing from other british people to be honest. Especially when most of them will gladly watch an english premier league game most weeks. Bloody stupid. I wanna see New Zealand because they have an ex swansea striker playing. Also North Korea because I find the country fascinating.
  18. When I was in the habit of going to the gym 2-3 times a week, I would spend about 90 mins in there then come out and would be absolutely starving. I would then eat a big meal like steak and chips followed by a big (usually) chocolate covered desert. So i'm not sure if going to the gym makes you think twice about what you eat
  19. Fighting the Red Baron. Shame there arent more programs like this on regular TV
  20. Hhmm I cant get the site to work, maybe it's just down for a while, i've got the address tho thanks.
  21. Maybe a stupid question but is there a 'master' of historical fiction, an author who is widely regarded like Stephen King is for example, in the horror genre, within historical fiction? I guess it largely depends on the era but are there prominent authors to look out for? Historical fiction is becoming more and more 'my thing' by the minute.
  22. I used to go to a gym with professional footballers and the occasional boxer. I'm fat and disabled if I can do it anyone can You'll love it.
  23. I have just rediscovered HIIT aka high intensity interval training. I used to do this in the gym 2-3 times a week years ago. For anyone that wants to do cardiovascular exercise, treadmill, bike, xtrainer etc. but gets bored at the prospect of sitting on a piece of equipment for 45 mins a time try this: Do a light warm up for 4-5 mins then 30 sec Fast 30 sec Slow 30 sec Fast 30 sec Slow 30 sec Fast Do that for as long as you can, fast being giving it absolutely everything, like you are running/peddling for your life then slow right down. Then cool down for 2-5 mins You should aim to do it for at least 4 mins for a maximum of up to 20 mins, (if you can do it for 20 mins and you've never done it before you're doing it wrong) . Look it up, HIIT
  24. I didnt know that, thats absolutely ridiculous seeing as you could find any one of them on youtube
