  1.

    Congratulations :)!

I'm glad you had a nice day :)

Awwww :(. If it goes get cancelled, I hope you can find another nice class to try.

Yesterday we went out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We did some shopping first, which was fun. We managed to find a few things we'd been looking for for a while but couldn't find (like a tray that would fit into our oven / microwave). In another shop, we waited for about half an hour to pay for some games my boyfriend wanted, it was agony and several times we thought about just leaving. These people came in just a moment before we arrived at the counter, and they had lots of second hand stuff to hand in and the guy at the counter kept chattering on to them and had to scan all the games, and some things went wrong so it took longer.. There was another guy behind the counter, not sure what he was really doing, I feel he could've just helped us! We were able to pay in the end but I was pretty angry by then at being completely ignored and having to wait so bloody long!

Unfortunately, because we had to wait so long in that games shop, we arrived at the restaurant later so it was busier. I loved the first half of our meal at the restaurant. The food was great and it wasn't that busy yet. But then it rapidly got busier and busier. We could not talk any more, we couldn't hear each other! I put on my iPod for a while because my ear plugs weren't enough. Then after we finished some food we thought about ordering icecream for dessert. But I couldn't stand it anymore. I wanted to run away screaming because of all the noise and input. I started to cry and break down, so my boyfriend said we'd just pay and leave, never mind about the icecream. So we left. I feel sorry the evening ended on a sour note, I didn't expect it to be so busy and was totally overwhelmed by it. The fact that we were almost surrounded by a lot of teenage girls and young chattery women didn't help. Elsewhere there were a few children too who were shouting and being noisy. I felt so completely uncomfortable and in pain during the second half of the meal. It didn't help that they messed up our order, either, so we got something we didn't order, didn't get what we did order and two of the things we ordered arrived very late (like, after we'd finished everything else and thought about icecream). It was a restaurant where you order a lot of little dishes.

Anyway.. I did have a fun day out for the most part. I'm going to try to rest today, I'm quite tired from yesterday. Unfortunately, if I keep being this tired, I can't go out tomorrow to visit my sister. I'll see how things go the rest of the day but I'm feeling very tired so to be honest I doubt I'll feel up for it.

Thanks guys <3 I'm so excited. I'm trying to find some help to get this big desk in my garage into my apartment so I can set up a nice workspace plus my sewing machine and painting stuff.

Athena :( *big hugs* I hope today is a much better day for you and you're able to see your sister today.  :empathy:

  2. Well, I just accepted a job working from home taking phone messages for doctors. I start Monday which means I have some work to do making my tiny apartment into an entire home as well as an office. :) I'm so happy to finally be working towards something again! The pay isn't outstanding, but its a job and it has insurance and the cat won't have to deal with being alone all day.

Hope everyone feeling ill feels better asap!  :empathy:

  3. Ahh, I thought it must be.  Thanks. :)

We had dogs that were at least half Shepherds when I was a kid and I had a full blooded, black shepherd years ago.  They are absolutely the smartest dogs.

A friend of mine that was in the Vietnam War told me about dogs used for messaging in that war.  The Shepherds were the ones that survived far better than, say the Dobermans.  A Shepherd would find the best way to get to another place, going around danger far more easily than the Doberman that would simply plow through the danger and be (possibly) killed.  Shepherds thought about things, analyzed situations.  All that said, I hate and abhor the idea of using animals in war. :7_mad:

Aww, I know what you mean. K.D. was adopted as a little puppy. My dad and stepmom think she's full GSD (the other has long fur and looks a bit like a mix, her name is Lucy). K.D. was originally named Katie but one day when she was about 7 or 8 months old she killed a deer and drug it up onto the porch as a "present". Ever since she's been K.D. (Killer Dog). She likes to hunt like that, and she thinks she's helping provide for her family by doing so.

    Thanks Melodious! <3

  4. Wow, strange weather, Chesil!

Abby, I've been meaning to re-watch Groundhog Day for a while now. Maybe I should try to watch it tomorrow then!

I'm so jealous of everyone's snow. :( We've been a lovely, mild summer here for the past couple of weeks. We had plenty of rain last week, and there were a few rumbles of thunder before, but very little rain. I'm enjoying the overcast skies and cool temperatures while they last. :)

You know, I've never actually seen the film!

Phil saw his shadow so we have another 6 weeks of winter. Darn groundhog. I was hoping for an early spring!

  5. According to Google GSD is "German Shepherd Dog". :D

I love how most big dogs seem to not know their size and think they're lap dogs. 2 of my dad and stepmom's dogs are German Shepherds and they'll curl up on your lap if given the chance. K.D., the older one, is my favorite out of their 5 dogs. She just needs to be held like a little child and cuddled all the time. <3

Pip is such a cute name for a dog! I have my heart set on a little French bulldog someday... maybe I'll name him Pip Squeak and call him Pip for short.  :giggle:

Today is Winny's 1 year adoptaversary. :) I bought him 3 bags of treats, a tin of wet food and a 2 mouse (with bells, which I'm regretting now) toy set. He's beside himself and won't stop purring or giving me loves. <3

  6. D'aww, I love Jasper! <3 Hm, you know mine and Winny's adoptaversary is actually tomorrow and I've never once had to pick goup out of his eyes. Guess I got lucky with him. He does, however, tend to get stuff stuck to his butt. Not poo, but he walks around with litter on his man bits a lot. I have no idea how he can just get them so littered up and not notice or care.

  7. This pic is a little older, but its pretty much what Winny and I are doing right now, lol. Netflix, blankies and a gurgling coffee pot preparing hot delicious caffeine for us (me).  :giggle: We sure know how to live it up!

  8. I've been rewatching Sherlock.

    Because.

Lol, my friend here just discovered Sherlock and was yelling at me last night after I told her I gave up after episode 3. After a few colorful words, its now back in my Netflix queue...  :giggle:  She's very persuasive...

I'm watching Gilmore Girls right now.

  9. Heh, my first ever car was a Ford Taurus... so I named him Boris. Boris the Taurus.  :giggle:  It is definitely a much better name for a dog, though. :D

Melodious, hehe, my arm gets tired, too. Winny often falls asleep on his back next to me while I lay on my stomach so I hold him like a child does a teddy bear. He'll wrap an arm around mine and if I try to pull away he tightens his grip and snuggles his little kitty head into my hand. Cuteness > Comfort.

The boyfriend has his heart set on a husky puppy someday. I've already decided if we ever get married a husky will be my wedding gift to him. He's constantly talking about our future husky (he'd also settle for a Shiba Inu or an Eskimo dog) and how much the cats are going to hate us.  :giggle:

  10. No? To cuddling? You can say no? :D Eddie is so adorable.

Athena, now that I've learned what breed of dog yours is, I've been seeing Kommadors (spelling?) everywhere! Lol! I've seen at least 2 different posts of them on Twitter in the last 24 hours. Funny how that happens.

  11. That's his face and position when he's been naughty.  :giggle: I had to yell at him for knocking the toilet paper into the tub and ruining it (he loves licking plastic bags... its kitty crack to him... and had been licking the toilet paper bag I'd set on the edge of the tub). He's a bit like a 2 yr old in the sense that if he knows he's been naughty he'll come up pouting until I comfort him so he doesn't feel like he's been naughty anymore. He'll jump up, lay so close to me that he's practically melding into me, and purr as loudly as he can.  :giggle: Can't stay cross with him for more than a minute or two, lol.

  12. Yesterday it snowed and the past few days we've had pretty cold temperatures. Some of the snow melted yesterday afternoon, some of it is still there today. Temperatures are below freezing temperature (0 C) because the snow is not melting. It does however give some very pretty pictures (taken yesterday):

The weatherpeople predict it will be slightly above 0 C tomorrow, and expect more rain and wind later this week.

    Those pics are so gorgeous!!

It was nice here in Fargo today. Got up to 43 and was sunny most of the day. It looks like spring outside. :D
