  1. For free, where at? That's great Frankie I haven't heard of any of those personally, but the title of Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination immediately grabs my attention. Have you started any of them yet?
  2. You wouldn't dare unleash it on me. *bats eyelashes* Besides, I'd unleash Grawp on you in return.

I'm sure it will be a great time but honestly, I just want to go to sleep  First time in months I'm tired enough to go to bed early and its the night of the first actual party we've had in our apartment since me moving in the beginning of February. Go figure, aye?

I'm so happy to hear you're getting back on track! That's fantastic, Tom! :D Sounds like a nice quiet evening is in store for you. What dvd are you thinking? Donny Darko?

Thanks. Looks like things are looking up for the both of us from here xD

  3. That is very interesting how they stragegically place the cheaper products further out of sight/reach than the pricer ones. You have to wonder if there is some sort of supermarket research company who puts out manuals on how to dupe the shoppers into spending more. Coke is absolutely awful stuff. We had a dentist and a doctor come into my anatomy class senior year and give a presentation on what it does to not only teeth, but the rest of your body. One of the displays they had was a 20 oz Coke bottle filled with how much table sugar is actually in that bottle. If I remember right it was somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 full of pure sugar. Its ironic, most people think they are 'eating' the Coke when its the other way around, Coke actually eats you from the inside out.
  4. That means I won *does a victory dance* :D

BBQ doesn't start for another hour and a half, hopefully it will all go well! I'm excited to see my friends again. Its been a while, lol. What are you up to this evening?

  5. I've always been curious, here in the US all (at least the major) grocery stores follow a basic structure: If you walk in a circle around the store without going down any of the isles you'll hit the 'healthy' stuff. Fruits/veggies, bread (from the bakery there, not the factory stuff), meat and fish, and dairy. Basically the foods with the least amount of preservatives if any at all. Several people have told me to stick to shopping in a circle as you will skip all the 'junk'. Are stores in the UK and elsewhere like that too?
  6. Ha!

  8. Haha, just kidding.
  9. I haven't been eating the best this week and have unfortunately gained 2 lbs. Tonight after work there is a trip to the grocery store on my 'to do' list so that I can get some better stuff to get back on track next week.
  10. ... there is always a time for...

  13. Books allowed us to travel the world and experience different cultures long before airplanes and vacation trips became common. In a way, books are like one single key that fits many different locks. They open up portals to new worlds, teach us about experiences we may never personally encounter in our lifetime and provide us with hours upon hours of entertainment and escape. To read is the ultimate entertainment fufillment because instead of 'zoning out' like one would to the television or even to music (sorry! I love both, don't get me wrong!) it forces us to become creators within ourselves and add our own little features and quirks to the characters and setting. We take control and use the writer's words to paint our own world within our minds.
  14. Having a little BBQ here tonight so I'm making chicken kabobs, rosemary salmon and turkey burgers to go along with various salads and deserts everyone else is bringing.
  15. I read the first couple of chapters in Finger Lickin' Fifteen by Janet Evanovich today. So far another great book in the Stephanie Plum Series.

  18. Oh don't worry. Its always been a dream of mine to get chased by strangely dressed British men in big fuzzy hats and then post it on YouTube with an old Looney Tunes track playing for background sound. Looks like that one can be checked off the Bucket List...
  19. Thanks Echo I like yours too. Is that toast in his mouth?
  20. You've convinced me to pick this one up! It looks like an excellent read according to your review. I can't wait to dig in!
  21. Thats great you finished! I take it you are really enjoying the Shopaholic books? Personally, I haven't read them but have heard only good things. Hope you enjoy the next one!
