  1. That's right! Kylie, you really do need to see that movie.
  2. Sweet! I thnk I'm going to start it tonight as we are already 4 months gone this year and my reading mojo is still puttering at half gas.
  3. That is an incredible movie! Definitely one to watch with a box of tissues. I'm watching the Blue Collar Comedy Tour
  4. This month just seemed to fly by! As May is now only a few days away I wanted to see if any of you lovely Roryites (heh ) would still be interested in reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire with me? It will be a bit different tone from the books that we've been reading thus far in the challenge. Thoughts? Comments? Random unintelligible blurts?
  5. Heh, you're comments just made me picture the dad from 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' and how he is always explaining how a word's origins go back to Greek.
  6. Mashed potatoes with gravy and a glass of milk Yum!
  7. Hello and welcome! Hope you like it here.
  8. Just read a little more in Brightly Woven. Its pretty good so far

  10. Football Big city or the country (for a vacation)
  11. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
  12. According to Jiim
  13. Thanks, Michelle. I'll do that.
  14. I think so. the message iTunes gave me was "not all of your files could be transfered because they were not purchaced under CaliLily" or something like that.
  15. Yeah, I got the ones I bought on iTunes, but other ones that I had burned onto my old computer from cds and were sent from people through MSN and stuff won't transfer. My netbook doesn't have a cd drive so I can't burn them. :S
  16. Thanks anyway, I hope so. I've got about 1000 songs that didn't transfer and I'd not be too happy if I lost them.
  17. Thanks Nici! I'll definitely be doing that! Now, perchance, do you know anything about iPods and how to get music from your iPod onto your computer if you weren't the one who purchaced it? I have several files friends sent me on it and when I synched it to the netbook it only transfered the files I had personally bought on my iTunes ID. Sorry for being so computer dumb... I should just give up on modern technology and become Amish.
  18. Is anyone familliar with Windows 7 and/or mini laptops (aka, netbooks)? I am trying to install some programs onto my new one and am having a bit of a hard time. It won't let me change the background by right clicking on a picture and then clicking 'set as desktop wallpaper' and I can't seem to find the section under the control panel to change it there. Are you not able to change backgrounds on netbooks? I also can't seem to figure out this new Windows 7 Microsoft Word. It doesn't seem to have spell check set up and it keeps asking for a password that I don't think I have. If I click the big X in the corner it still lets me into Word, but why does it keep asking me for a password?
  19. We rented The Blind Side last night and it was so good I plan to watch it again this afternoon Definitely one worth buying. Other than that there isn't anything good on today.
  20. The Blind Side
  21. Ugh, you have no idea. I'd rather be fat and happy than skinny due to starvation. That sounds really cool! I hope you can write a book full of your recipes when the money thing gets better.
  22. Hopefully everything will get sorted out tomorrow. Can't say I mind the weightloss Not a diet I'd ever reccommend though! Savy is good! What's your favourite kind of cheesecake? I have a recipe for a poor man's version if you like to bake. All it is is a package of strawberry jello and cottage cheese blended together (trust me, it tastes better than it sounds, its a good sub!) and you pour it into a graham cracker crust pie tin. All the ingredients together are pretty cheap if you wanted to try it.
  23. I think its just the medicine as I usually eat more when I'm stressed out. My dad was by to visit me earlier and he thinks they gave me too high a dose to start with. My blood sugar has gone down 40 points in the last 3 days and is back in the 'normal' range so I don't know if thats because of the meds or lack of food. That sounds really good! Hopefully you'll be able to find more deals like that
  24. Hopefully they'll figure it out. Even the smell of food makes me sick. The Gatorade is helping a bit so at least that's something. Popcorn wasn't a smart idea though How was your pork and boiled potatoes?
