  1. Hey VF! I just wanted to pop over and say hi. Hope you and the family are well. xx

  2. Y'all are being so mischevious today! Its very amusing... I think I'm going to make an another attempt to read Watchmen today.
  3. Tangled... for the 3rd time this week. Such a cute movie!
  4. I've heard only good things about Scott Westerfield's books. Nice haul, Kylie!
  5. Hey Pixie! Glad to see you here again. Sorry to hear life has been so crazy for you! You got some of those nasty storms last week, didn't you? xoxo

  6. You read so fast, Claire! I'll have to put The Declaration on my TBR pile. That one sounds really interesting!
  7. Hello and welcome!
  8. Haha, I need to find out the exact release date here in the US! It stinks that release dates between US and UK are always so far apart. You really do need to read the Blue Bloods! They're very well written and extremely creative with the vampire concept. Its not your traditional "Ah, I'm a shiny immortal here to suck your neck, you sexy big breasted babe, you!" The backstory is one of my favorites in today's YA literature. Yeah... you're moving them higher on your list now, aren't you?
  9. Hope you enjoy it, Pixie!
  10. Chesil- Have you read it yet? I got a nice little package in the mail from Barnes and Noble containing the first 3 books in the Bluebloods series by Melissa De La Cruz. I've read them before and really love the series. I think today I'll start reading the first one (will hopefully get most of the way through it if not finish it since they're so short). Lately most of the reading I have been doing is of magazines. Last week I started a re-read of Wicked by Gregory Maguire and am loving it as much as the last time. There is a big book festival in Sioux Falls soon and I'm hoping to drive down if my work schedule allows me to. There is also a really nice second hand bookstore down there with beautiful antique books for good prices I'd like to visit. Its a 3 1/2 - 4 hour drive and my little second hand store isn't open on Sundays so hopefully the book festival will last over a Tuesday so I can make it to both.
  11. Hello and welcome
  12. I'll have to pass on this since I have bought waaay too many new books lately to justify buying a new one before reading the others. May stalk this thread to see how y'all like it though and put it on the "To Buy Eventually" pile!
  13. Meh... for her shape, I'd live with it! Granted, but people always have to touch it causing you to blow up one day and chase a little old lady down the street. I wish I owned a private island far away and could stay there for months on end without worrying about money.
  14. I've been following it on both CNN and Twitter and its hard to believe they finally found/killed him... especially since it is 8 years to the day that George Bush gave his 'Mission Accomplished' speech. Tomorrow will be a sad, yet (hopefully) peaceful day for those who lost loved ones in 9/11 and the war it caused.
  15. Granted, but he passes gas like a rhino in bed. I wish I could have Angelina Jolie's body.
  16. Granted, but your good weather choices cause horrible weather disastars elsewhere in the world. I wish I could live without sleep.
  17. Aww, Jasper is such a cutie! I love that last one of him curled up by your books. He's sooo YOUR cat!
  18. Isn't it? I love Elvis when I'm feeling mellow or down. He has such a relaxing voice.
  19. Watching The Princess Diaries right now. Forgot how good it is!
  20. 1. If Looks Could Kill- Heart 2. Colorblind- Counting Crows 3. The Story of Your LIfe- We the Kings 4. I See You- Mika 5. Are You Lonesome Tonight?- Elvis Presley 6. Nothing to do with Love- Halestorm 7. Smells Like Teen Spirit- Nirvana 8. Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again- Andrew Lloyd Weber Collection 9. She's the One- Robbie Williams 10. Wanted Dead or Alive- Bon Jovi
  21. Grease is on in the background but I may put in I Love You Man in a bit.
  22. I have 3 magazine subscriptions on my Nook that I read: The Food Network Magazine, National Geographic and Cosmopolitan. National Geographic is my favorite out of the three because I've always been obsessed with history and Earth science.
  23. Chrissy, I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. Habeebi, your babies are so adorable! Today I finally got my hammy, Hamlet, to try the daredevil ball and he absolutely LOVED it once he got inside. When it came time to put him back in the cage he wouldn't come out and kept trying to crawl back in and roll off. Its hard to get a decent picture of him because he's so twitchy all the time.
  24. Thanks for explaining that so well, Kell! I always thought they were making fun of royals in movies when they gave them super-long names!
