  1. so I decided to read the Erica Spindler novel, In silence. I see what you mean Charm about the Slaughter type of book. small town, sherriff, independant woman. I am only 50 pages in and I am liking it already Hoping to read loads more today.
  2. I look forward to hearing what you think Noll. I have this book on my TBR pile but I have heard nothing but bad reviews and because of this it is right at the bottom of my TBR pile. Hoping you can convince me to bump it up a bit.
  3. About 70 pages to go of The Crucifix killer. Good book and last night it totally took my mind off everything. People who like detectives catching a serial killer like the authors Jack Kerley or jonathan Nawsaw will like it. Hope to finish this today and then decide what to read next. I have so many books to read, but I need a good book to keep my mojo going, as I will be stuck in a waiting room for much of the day. ***Edit** I have now finished Chris Carter - The Crucifix Killer. Great ending, exactly what I needed. I am deciding between two books (I stillw anted to stay in the Crime Genre) erica Spindler - In silence. Which is one of the books that Charm gave me. Or M.J. Rose - The Halo Effect. A book I have had for months to read. I will be readin this book for hte rest of the day, so I have to pick wisely.
  4. I have this on my TBR pile, I am going to start reading her first book really soon and I can't wait. Great review. That one sounds fantastic.
  5. Do you think I could make a claim against The X factor for hurting my ears! Ihad to turn the volume down!

  6. Only managed to read 18 pages today. I went up the village and bought a book about the Iluminati. Sounded interesting and was only 50p!
  7. The new Walkers crisps Advert/ commercial with Lionel Richie is Cringeworthy.

  9. I got The Devil's Star from my local library thinking it waas the first in the series, after I read that it was the first book to be translated into English. I started to read it and I found that there was so much that I did not understand about the main character that I double checked that I was not starting in the middle of a series. Obviously it was. My library does have The RedBreast and I will red it at some point as The Devils star seem to have a lot of potential.
  10. I think the same Frankie. Such a good thriller. *Edit* D'oh I keep forgetting to tal about my reading activity. I am up to pg 150 of The Crucifix Killer. It's good and very fast paced, my only complaint so far.. There are quite a few cheesy cliches in the book that have made me think Oh dear, quite a few times.
  11. Yeah I should be. I don't fel bad at all today. was sick a few times and don't even feel like need to sleep. I pick the boys up in a minute. Boys first day back at school yesterday! Which helps alot.

  15. The first Will Trent. from Waterstones.com: When Atlanta police detective Michael Ormewood is called out to a murder scene at the notorious Grady Homes, he finds himself faced with one of the most brutal killings of his career: Aleesha Monroe is found in the stairwell in a pool of her own blood, her body horribly mutilated. As a one-off killing, it's shocking, but when it becomes clear, that it's just the latest in a series of similar attacks, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are called in, and Ormewood is forced into working with Special Agent Will Trent of the Criminal Apprehension Team - a man he instinctively dislikes. But then, only twenty-four hours later, the violence Ormewood sees around him every day explodes in his own back yard. And it seems the mystery behind Monroe's death is inextricably entangled with a past that refuses to stay buried ... I read the Hunger games and loved it and keep meaning to read Catching Fire.
  16. Haha, awesome! I randomly got it at a charity shop for 50p and I instantly thought of Kelley armstrong's series.
  17. Haha, probably I love Will! have you got the new bok yet Chrissy? I have Dark Moon on my TBR pile. Is it any good?? CW
  18. @ Charm I loved that book is one of my favourites by her. I couldn't put it down. I even walked into a lamp post because I was so engrossed in reading it while walking. I think I got off the wrong bus stop too because of it if I remember.

She is so annoying! I totally forgot what series she was from. Looking forward to tonight!!

  21. I finished Burned by P.C and Kirstin Cast. I thought it was Ok. I'm not upset that I have to wait for the next one. I will stillread them but I thought it was pretty average. I am now 100 pages into The Crucifix Killer by Chris Carter. Very fast paced book. Great for detective fans. I would not say highly original so far and you can see the author's influence from horror and psychological thriller movies. But has brought my mojo back after Burned was killing it slightly. Back home from my little break so about to go into bed and try and get a few more pages read.
  22. No worries I will do later:) I am still getting use to the blackberry. Probably will be quicker for me to re-write it, haha.

Hope you are well. Better go, kids are moaning we are going to be late. haha.

  23. Managed another 100 pages of Burned last night. It's going Ok. I agree with other people, the books do seem to be getting worse through the series. Hope it picks up soon. I am having a weekend away with my family, as we need a break, hoping to get a little reading done. Taking The Halo Effect by M.J.Rose and The Crucifix Killer by Chris Carter. Both books Ihave been wanting to read for a while.
  24. Hi mate. I'm ok mate. Just about to drop the kids off to their sports clubs and then off to the hospital. I did get your email. I replied last night via my blackberry, did you not get it? Let me know and I will forward it again or re-write it.

    Love

    CW.
