  1. Hey!

Thanks for the add. How are you today mate?

  2. I have seen this series on Fantastic Fiction, and have been looking out for it. It maybe one of my purchases of the year I think.
  3. Lsh Life sounds good. as for the Girl who played with fire. I love the series. I have the third one on my TBR pile. I can't wait to read it. Glad you enjoyed the second one as much as me! Nice to meet you. CW.
  4. Book #4: Shiver - Maggie Stiefvater. Grace is fascinated by the wolves in the woods behind her house; one yellow-eyed wolf in particular. Every winter, she watches him but every summer, he disappears. Sam leads two lives. In winter, he stays in the frozen woods, with the protection of the pack. In summer, he has a few precious months to be human ...until the cold makes him shift back again. When Grace and Sam finally meet, they realize they can't bear to be apart. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human - or risk losing himself, and Grace, for ever. Ok so I reserved my book when I read a review by Weave I think and though it would be a really nice book to read. I would like to add that this book has had many great reviews so my expectation was pretty high. First off. I really like Grace as a character and reminds me a little of myself at that age. I found her totally adorable, yet strong in many ways. Sam wamed to me throughout the book, I could not seem to get a picture of him in my mind. But he is still a lovely character. The book is full of love's young dream, pure, sweet, innocent even. I don't do love stories and my favourite moments of Twilight are the action chapters, but I liked this.... alot. I found the ending brilliant and a lovely little twist. changes in characters, and some funny little scenes and dialogues bettween the central characters. I do feel that this is a way to get on the twilight (YA sci fi fantasty genre) band waggon, yet it is good in it's own right, with some lovely changes to the much churned out warewolf genre. Light quick chirpy lovely read. Oh and it is fine for YA. Only two swear words in the book. B:censored:d twice. Other than that a lovely read for a love struck teen. I will be looking for the book in July! Pros: Quick to read, flowed beautifully, lovely to read chapters based on each characters perspective and thoughts. Loved the cold temperature twist of the warewolves. Cons: No enough action for me, but that is a pure personal taste rather than a flaw of the book. 8/10
  5. What did you think of Mr Darcy Vampire? I thought it was quite good in the end. As for me I have judt finished Shiver, what a great book in the end. Will be writing my review shortly. Decided to go back to a bit of crime and murder so I am about to start Val McDermid's Fever of the bone.
  6. Just added it to my wislist. Thanks for another great review.
  7. I agree. I keep my Twilight reading at home if I can. I try not to read Dan Brown or Twilight in Public. I was reading New Moon in the coffee shop and I had the cover to the table so no one could see I was reading it As for books that I think people think are cool. Umm Chomsky I think is quite a cool thing to be reading. Very policital, very 'in' I suppose you can say. If I am reading a Chomsky book, I alway get loads of people come up to me and ask if it is good? what are my views on his theories, stuff like that. Fiction author, hmm *Thinks* Some people would say Twilight. I think The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is kind of cool at the moment, I see a lot of the books from the series on planes and trains. What a great thread!
  8. Hey Weave!

I am a little better today, thanks.

  9. I lent this to my friend tonight, so I will not read it for a while, but she has text me to say that it does look really good, and she has read the first 20 pages and she is already into it!
  10. Yeah you get introduced to Faith Mitchell, I think that is her name. ( Iknow her name is Faith) Anyway she becomes a big character in this book and in Genisis. Look forward to hear what you think of her.
  11. I want to read the forth bear, I love Jasper Fforde and have only got into him. I must read this soon!
  12. Oh no!!!!! I hope not it will totally ruin the surprise!
  13. Ok well it is better to read them from the start to the end. that way you get a better feel for the characters and you see how the characters grow. So you reading Tripych and fractured is fine as they are in the Will trent series. As for Fractured. Nothing wrong with fractured. It is S.P that got people mad.
  14. Good Luck with the last exam mate! Also can't wait to read what your thoughts are on that book. Fantastic!
  15. Good luck with that!
  16. Haha, it is such a good book. I was reading through Shin's reading log and she read it not so long ago and it made me think back. Fractured is good, but not one of her best. I will be honest with you. But you will get to meet a new character, whooo hoooo!
  17. Same here!

  23. I have read all of these books:lol: yo have good taste Shame you did not like Dexter, I found it an enjoyable read, but I am not a fan of all of them. I agree with fractured and found the storyline not as good as previous ones and found it to be rather mediocure, considering I expect so much from her. Triptych is an amazing book!!! End of really, loved it and alctually took me by surprise when I read it, as I was not expecitng a lot. One of her best I feel. As for the Sookie, I do like them, but really gone off them as of late, will continue with the series, I think I am on Book five. So now you are ready for Skin Privilege and Genisis when it comes to slaughter... How exciting!
