Did they charge you for the items that didn't arrive? I thought my order was more than what it actually came too so I am wondering if they deducted anything of my order because they were out of stock. I just ordered a loads of flosses and can't remember what I ordered and did not order.

Use some WD40 on it. LOL Yeah, I can get my thread neater on the bobbins by hand winding. The winder just moves about too much for me. Are you going to contact the site about your bobbins? If you have paid for them and they are not in your stash you should...they should have at least adding a few more bits of floss to make up for it. I think that's what they did for me...they sent me two of the same floss twice which I have no recollection of ordering two so I am wondering if some of the flosses that I ordered went out of stock and they added those to make up for it.

I am fine at the minute...couldn't be better actually. Hubby got some work doing gardens which is great...more money to spend on book. ha! ha! I have been off on holidays this week but did go anywhere special. I had my mum staying with me a few days and it was nice. But back to porridge in the morning unfortunately. What about you? Have you been away anywhere nice? How are you?

Kell, have you ever tried one of those bobbin winders? I got one and I can honestly saying that doing it by hand is much easier for me. I really can't get used to the winders.

Hey you, long time no speak! I am in the middle of reading Genesis at the moment...it's taking me slightly longer to read than the norm but you know why. ;-) Still a great read but just getting used to the cross over. Glad you are liking the new book...I will be very interested in reading that one. I know what you mean about having so much reading to do...I am slightly on the slow side with my reading lately but hoping to finish this book soon. I will let you know what I think when I do.

I thought it was just me but I thought my order price was lower than what I thought it was and I received double flosses (only 2 DMCs). I don't know whether I clicked on 2 or that was their error. My ecru perforated paper was a bit crumpled too Kell.

Kell, were did you get your pattern? Any site I go onto they don't have an option to send by email and I would prefer it that way if I am going to pick my own threads...also because I can get it quicker. Ok, this is what I have been working on lately. It is called Eeyore's Tail and it is for the same niece that I did the sampler for. I am hoping to make it into a pillow for her but we will see about that. I also need to start on my Hush Lickle Baby sampler but I will rotate these project page by page. Oh, and I end up ordering from that site too. LOL

My niece is near 11 months and I started when she was about 3 months old. But I think it is important to do a sampler that you enjoy doing and as this one was 12 years old, my taste changed. I really wasn't enjoying it as I would have preferred to do something else for her. I think what really made me finish it in the end was I told her mummy that I was doing it and I had my husband on my back asking then was I going to finished it. But I think I will enjoy doing the Lickle Baby one.

12 years!!! No, the story behind this sampler is...I bought it 12 years ago for my nephew but I did not do much to it at all and then stopped cross stitching altogether. Then one day last year I was up in my mums attic and found all my cross stitching stash....including this sampler....still on the wooden frame. Thankfully, it didn't stain the fabric. So I decided to finish it for my niece as now my nephew is too old for it. But I am have been doing it on and off since end of last year. If I was doing it regularly I think I would have finished it quicker. I think I even went about three months without picking it up at all. So, that is why I am so thankful it is completed. After 12 years...and this was initially for my nephew but I picked this up again at the end of last year for my baby niece....my completed Sleeping Bunnies Birth Annoucement sample.....finally. My very first biscornu and it was tiny! I have a new niece (3 days old) and I have this Hush Lickle Baby birth sampler on order and I can't wait to get it started. Looking forward to this one. I have also a Winnie the Pooh project to do for the same niece I did the Sleeping Bunnies for. So I will be quite busy.

Hello Charm, just stopping by to say hello. How many vamp/supe series are you reading? Can't give off to you though...I don't know how many I am reading at the minute. Just finished the Stackhouse series and still going through The House of the Night series, The Morganville Vampire series and the newly added Women of the Otherworld and now Betsy! But I love them all...it is a great way to escape and they are good reads after a gripping thriller. I have just finished Kiss The Girls by James Patterson and was going to read the next in that series but thought I would need to read a light hearted book before I do as the books are so intense. I picked Undead and Unwed by Mary Janice Davidson which is great to bring me down after the intense reading of Kiss The Girls.

Hello you, haven't heard from you in a while. Are you struggling with your mojo at the minute? Can't remember if I told you this but I finished SP and now just waiting to get Genesis out of the library. No point in reading the Will Trent series as I have already read those. So how are you?

I have finished it now Charmed and really did enjoy it. I have ordered Stolen from the library so I am hoping it comes really soon. Just need to do up a few reviews...I think I will leave it until tomorrow though.

I am still reading Bitten after starting it over a week but I am really enjoying it now and have about 50 pages to go. I have just been caught up finishing a cross stitching piece...well it still not finished but I am hoping to have Bitten finished tomorrow.

I was just about to ask you how you go about donating stitched items Kell. For a great charity and I would do anything for it. Even did the Race for Life myself in memory of my Daddy. Anyway, I don't have any cards on the go but I will look as see if I have some nice designs for ones. Need to order nice card though. Oh, who is it on CSF? Could you pm me? Thanks

Thanks chesilbeach, I am still slowly reading the book but I know I'll get to the point were it has me hooked. I have had this book in my pile for a while now and since I have finished the Sookie Stackhouse books (with the exception of the 10th book) and I am in need of something to fill the gap.

Yeah, the first in the series is just always the introduction mainly but I do want to read this series so I really will continue to with them. Haven't made much progress on the book though, I have only got to page 30 odds.

So far, I am finding it hard to get into but that's expected with a whole new series.
