After finishing Dan Smith's excellent thriller The Child Thief set in the Ukraine winter of 1930,I started Karen Thompson Walker's The Age Of Miracles. Very good so far,an 11 yr old girl in California how her family and friends react when the earth slows down and the days become gradually longer. Also ordered One Child's War by Hugh Hafani Hayes,a fictional novel telling the story of how one family lives through the Blitz in WW2.

Now reading Neptune Crossing by Jeffrey A Carver. Enjoyable sci-fi set on Neptune's moon,Triton. Nearly finished and lined up The Child Thief by Dan Smith next.

Now reading Sebastian Barry's WW1 novel A Long,Long Way.

Finished The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry,and started Sons Of Thunder by Giles Kristian.

Finished The Hunger Trace by Edward Hogan last night. 2nd book I've read by Hogan,in which he excels at exploring relationships laced with some stunning descriptive imagery. Started The Pale Horseman by Bernard Cornwell. It's the 2nd of his historical saxon series tracing Alfred the Great's reign.
