  1. I totally agree about the whole 'kids exposing themselves and each other' on the internet. Like you, I'm glad that we didn't have to deal with that while growing up. Imagine!!!!! When you think about how much you change as a person between then and now, it's pretty scary to think that your former self could be lurking somewhere just waiting to embarrass you at any given moment. Eeeeek!! :icon_eek::icon_eek::icon_eek:

I think we English people have just had our summer. Two days of sunshine is the usual going rate! It's really windy and rainy and just plain grey today :irked:

I'm definitely going to wikipedia Carcassonne! I became addicted to Scrabble last summer. We'd just sit and play it for days on end (We even created a mini-league system.....pretty embarrassing really!! haa!!)

  2. I thought Breaking Dawn was ok......a bit weak near the end though. So much more could've been done with it (think we were discussing this a million posts back) It's a bit disappointing how As for Rosalie, I'm divided. I didn't like her as a character but I thought the story of her transformation was one of the best tbh. .
  3. That's hilarious Nightwish!!
  4. Hey Frankie!!

How's you? I've been away for a few days to see Ross's parent's. Had a few sneeky peeks at what was going on but not long enough to reply. It's sooooooo sunny here! Just sat outside making the most of it.

I hope you BF gets well soon! :) I've never heard of Carcassonne....what is it?

It is getting a bit wearing isn't it! I know he's good looking and I really like him myself but come on people..........it can sometimes go a bit far can't it! haa!! On youtube there's some random man/woman (not entirely sure) singing a song about how Bella chose the guy he/she wanted. And another woman who has styled herself completely on Alice singing about Jasper the Vampire boy......very weird!!

Did you catch up on the 1141 unread posts? Haaa!! I'm currently at 3436! What's been happening while I've been away???? haa!!

Oh and yes.....that's my BF Ross. He's my darling :D

  5. Ah don't let us put you off....it's still a good book. Definitely worth persevering with! Where are you up to at the mo? I love that quote.....literally laughed out loud and startled my BF!
  6. :welcome2:Hey Sarahlou! Looking forward to hearing your opinions! I've not read anything by Sophie Kinsella yet but lots of people rave about her here so might have to give it a whirl! I'm sure you'll fit right in
  7. So it looks like we're all agreed then....we all would've changed the majority of the last book!! Let's hope Russett Moon is a bit better eh.......only kidding!!
  8. Hey Frankie!! I'm good....still spending too much time on here and not enough on assignments!! eeeek!!!

I know what it's like to be without a computer....it's not great is it! Feel like a limb has been removed! Ok so that's maybe a tad dramatic but I'm English. That's what we do best!

Well, you've missed the release of Twilight on DVD so everyone's been chatting about the extras (not sure if you've seen them yet but oh my goodness the deleted scenes are a bit.....rude! I can see why they were cut!! haa!) Also there's a pretty cool forum called something along the lines of 'off-topic by the Queen of Off-topic'. It was started by ii and so far it's covered men, icecream, men, make-up and george clooney....

How are you? Hope you've been doing nice things while away from you're computer.....like reading lots! haa! Also, how's the weather over in your neck of the woods? It's been glorious here.....SUMMER'S COMING!!!!! :D

  11. I suppose that's true but it would have given it a tad bit of realism instead of

    Kala me

:welcome2:Hey Kala_way! What a good idea....50 books a year sounds pretty good to me! I'm slowly but surely making my way through the BBC Big Read list. It's a bit outdated now as I think the list I have is from 2003 so it's missing a few that I think should be on there but it's all good I'll pop the link below if you're interested. http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/bigread/top100.shtml
  13. Great Expectations - Charles Dickens Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte All the obvious ones but I love them
  14. I was really looking forward to Maybe she just didn't have the imagination to end it that way and I suppose that for me was the point when I thought that she definitely wasn't in the same league as JK Rowling etc.
  15. That's good to know!! I thought she was being serious....phew! As for the werewolves, I'm not that keen either. Although I do think Jacob is pretty funny in the last book.....oh and Seth too.
  16. For me, Morrisey is the best lyricist of our time. I have too many favourites by him so I'll say this one for now Hand in glove - The Smiths Hand in glove The sun shines out of our behinds No, it's not like any other love This one is different - because it's us Hand in glove We can go wherever we please And everything depends upon How near you stand to me And if the people stare Then the people stare Oh, i really don't know and i really don't care Kiss my shades ... oh ... Hand in glove The good people laugh Yes, we may be hidden by rags But we've something they never have Hand in glove The sun shines out of our behinds Yes, we may be hidden by rags But we've something they never have And if the people stare Then the people stare Oh, i really don't know and i really don't care Kiss my shades ... oh ... So, hand in glove i stake my claim I'll fight to the last breath If they dare touch a hair on your head I'll fight to the last breath For the good life is out there somewhere So stay on my arm, you little charmer But i know my luck too well Yes, i know my luck too well And i'll probably never see you again I'll probably never see you again I'll probably never see you again Oh ...
  17. :welcome2:Hey Mamfa! Welcome to the forum
  18. That woman is loopy!!! I still can't believe that she's totally modelled herself on Alice!! It's so embarrassing.....why would you do that!!??!! And that song................................................wow! :eek2::eek2::eek2:
  19. Oh my god!!! Just got around to watching these videos!!!!!!!! I'm speechless! ......................................Yep, still no words!
  20. Tell him no no no!
  21. I know......what is that!! Maybe it's the accent!
  22. The thing is, I really enjoyed it at the cinema but now I've read what other people found hilarious (mainly Jasper's facial expressions!) I've just sat and laughed my way through it! Eeeek!! Robert Pattinson is still gorgeous though
  23. My BF has just bought me the 2 disc dvd......really good. I haven't watched all the extras yet but the deleted scenes are pretty cool
