  1. Oh I didn't realise there was a sequal to Little Women. I've not read the book yet but have the film (it came as part of a box set withSense & Sensibility and Remains of the Day) I like the older version of the film (think it had Judy Garland in it but I may be completely lying!! haa!!) The version with Winona Ryder isn't too great but it's a lovely story :D

I finished Anansi Boys which was great! I love Neil Gaiman's dry humour. Now I'm part way through Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman which is pretty good. Have you read it? So many people on here have so I thought I'd buy it and see for myself.

I'm still reading through parts of the Disney book which is creeping me out. Some people (and we're talking about grown-ups who should know better) get way to carried away with Disney. Baking cakes in the shape of mickey Mouse ears is one thing but letting your children go to the disney school which doesn't have BOOKS (!!!!) in favour of 'web based research' is irresponsible!!!

  2. Haaa!! I know!! But the big question is..............Who's going to be the first to start the thread!!
  3. Thanks! I think I could probably change my list everyday! haa!! There's just too many songs to choose from!
  4. That's so true! I'll probably do the same and look for faults all the way through. Terrible!!
  5. I still love Lee from the last series!! THAT'S WHAT I'M TAWKIN 'BOUT!
  6. Damn that curiosity!!
  7. I don't know if I could.......the narrator on the youtube preview has put me off!! Plus, I really enjoyed the story from Jacob's point of view in Breaking Dawn. I found it laugh out loud funny! I think I'm just happy with what I've read and don't want to spoil it. We shall see though.....I might become tempted when I see it on the shelves in Waterstones!
  8. Hooked already!! I definitely think Anita was the best choice to go. I also liked her leaving speech....."In 10 years time Sir Alan will be wondering if he made a big mistake letting me go" or something like that. Is she having a laugh???!!!!! haa!!
  9. :5birthday:

    Happy belated birthday Nici!

  10. Haaaa! Disney the monster! Well it's starting to look that way......Disney are ruthless!! Residents have gagging orders against them so if they ever want to leave the town they aren't allowed to say anything negative about the town to the press.

It's just weird!! It's my idea of a living nightmare!! Yack!!

So are you reading anything at the moment? Or are you reading about reading on this forum!! haa!! I keep reading posts about what people have been reading and wonder where they get the time as they're always posting!! haa!

  11. Heinz Tomato Soup.....it's basically puree! Hope you get it sorted soon.....ouch!

Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division Transmission - Joy Division Temptation - New Order Knocked Up - Kings Of Leon Sam's Town - Killers 25 Miles - Edwin Star Love Potion No.9 - The Coasters You Got The Love - Candi Staton Unfinished Sympathy - Massive Attack Runaway - Del Shannon This Years Love - David Gray Mr Jones - Counting Crows
  13. I'm just.....................lost for words!!! haa! I don't like to be mean about anything but it seems kind of pointless. I mean could you ever imagine Bizarre! Still speechless!
  14. Wow.....I don't have any words just yet
  15. Take out pizza.........eeeek!! I've been good all day so why not!
  16. I totally agree with you BookJumper. In the book I liked how . It's just a small detail but I would've liked to have seen it added.
  17. I've also just remembered Irvine Welsh's Glue. I got about 1 third of the way through before putting it down for good. It was the scene with the guard dogs for anyone who knows it. Horrible stuff!
  18. Haunted is probably my favourite book. One of the short stories called Speaking Bitterness by Comrade Snarky (page 258) is really disturbing. It's turning my stomach now just thinking of it.........
  19. I recently bought 'The Book of Lost Things' by John Connolly purely because the cover art was really cool and the papercover had a really nice texture to it. I thought the book was ok but not as good as the cover promised!
  20. I've been wondering what they plan to do about Dobby in the DH.
  21. :dunno: Well I would too! I suppose some people must like to walk very close to the edge!! haa!!

As for the BCF....I've been pretty good today! Managed to get my essay plan sorted for that crazy urban utopia essay and did a bit of research too. That book is really good. The couple have just moved into Celebration and are starting to get freaked out at everyone's enthusiasm. They've also just paid an absolute fortune to live there!

I think I'd go mad!! Imagine......they're only allowed to put up white curtains or blinds to make the area match!! And so many people wanted to live there that Disney decided to make everyone pay $1000 to enter a lottery for the chance to buy a house. They made $1.2 million from it!! :eek2:
