Hello, my commonwealth chum. Thought I'd drop in to say hi. So. Mission accomplished.

  4. I have No Time For Goodbye to read imminently. I'm currently reading Grave Sight which is happily very good. I have plans to read all day tomorrow - I have no distractions, no people to teach, nobody requiring my assistance, just a good old (rare) quiet day. Top drawer, good lady, top drawer!

I'm quite sure you are currently engaged in some fine Saturday evening activity, and am hopeful that you are enjoying yourself (Cork, isn't it? A fine place - I really loved my time there!). Take care, pal. X

  5. That made me really laugh! The word 'pleb' just does it for me. It reminds me of Basil Fawlty.

I hope you're having a brill Saturday, my magic friend. Have an even better evening.

  6. Is that Huxley's Brave New World? Is this a silly question? Hope, you're well.
  7. Nope, no idea. Sorry, mate.
  8. Aloha, my friend. Here's another :friends0: for crawling out from underneath your dissertation.

I hope you're very lovely and well, Giulia. Looking forward to the next instalment of your novel. :D

  9. Brunette's are best, 'tis true. The only blonde I ever went out with married me, then effed off with someone else's fianc
  10. Hey Kelly. How're you doing? There seems to be a plethora of teen-vampire books around at the moment, doesn't there? It would be interesting to track the trends over the last...I dunno...70 years or so of literature. I personally struggle with the angsty-vampire thing (although I loved Buffy and Angel, so go figure). Saying that, I wonder if it's because I had found something I liked, and every other similar thing paled by comparison? Who knows? Not me, certainly, and I live with me!
  11. P.S. How cute is the little guy getting the hug!!!

  12. Hiya Sarah. It's been ages! How're you doing? Would you like to read one of my very silly letters? It might make you chuckle...

Hope you're really well, chum of mine. :friends3:

  13. A hundred books, Kate! Jeez...my eyes would probably fall out!
  14. I am currently reading the former and I'm liking it. I absolutely loved I, Lucifer and went on to read the rest of his books. Some of them are very dark, but he's a tremendously creative writer. Do you like him, Sara? I hope you're very well, my friend.
  15. Belle is my favourite princess! I'd marry her like a shot! She loves libraries! She loves books! She doesn't mind big, ugly 'erberts! She looks hot in that off-the-shoulder yellow number! Go on. I know. I'm fantasising about a cartoon!!!!
  16. I simply cannot get rid of them. I'd rather gnaw my right arm off.
  17. I find that reading is the one thing that truly relaxes me - switching off the real world, locking the doors, unplugging the phones and immersing myself entirely into someone else's imagination. That, in itself, becomes a reality for me, while I'm there. As Giulia and Roxi mentioned, sometimes during periods of great stress, I too have lost the ability to concentrate and have been unable to focus enough to read, but after a period of healing, I found myself plunging into my TBR mountain with relish. I love reading. I guess we all do here!
  18. Hiya, CW. J A Kerley has his first three books published as Jack Kerley. Start with The Hundredth Man. 'Tis excellent. I hope you are very well, my friend. Enjoy these books.

  19. Salut, Genevieve. It's been too long since we last communicated. How are you, my friend? I hope this finds you very well. X

  20. Hiya. I'm really enjoying the Charlaine Harris book Grave Sight currently. Thanks for the message on my book thread, Heather. We seem to share similar tastes. Hope you're well.

Hi Kate. Sorry to read that you're struggling with the ruddy panic attacks at the moment. Having experienced the things myself (full-blown passing out embarrassment jobbies), I can fully sympathise. Touch wood, I've not had a proper one for about a year - I went for Hypnotherapy. Expensive, but it seemed to really work for me.

Anyway. I'm on your side, my friend. Take care.

  22. Yo, Kelly. This is just me, popping by to say 'yo' and to see how you're doing?

What's new witchoo? Hoping you're all together well and groovy.

    Mac X

Ahoy there, Nicola. How're things up Newcastle way? Have you visited any of my Uncle's restaurants yet?

What's new with you? Hope you're well.
