Well, if you got that stuff okay, I see no reason why you wouldn't get the Matrix analogy at the end. And even if you don't, come to me as soon as it's explained and I'll clarify anything you need to know before you read the ending. It's the epilogue bit at the very end I'm curious to hear your thoughts on, it gets very mixed reactions (and is nothing to do with science.)
The reason I got the book was because I thought it would make me think a lot! I can never get enough of philosophical and scientific theories in books!

I'm fascinated by quantum physics. It kinda ties in with free will in Philosophy. I like mixing science fact with philosophical theories, and psychology and so on. It's not difficult if you've already been studying it, which I have.
It already covered the part about God and the Copenhagen Interpretation, right? How either there are multiple universes, or there is a God, because according to quantum physics a particle exists in a wavefunction and doesn't take up a fixed position until it has been observed and the wavefunction collapsed? I love that idea. It's so obvious, or it should be, to someone like me who loves that sorta thing, but it had never occured to me before reading the book.

Well, read it to the end anyway and see how you get on. Take your time when you get to the computer code thought experiment. It's covered over about a chapter, and it's probably the most plainly expressed example in the book, so you might be alright with it.
Stuff is good. House is good. I've found two more jobs today to apply for, one is a cleaner/general assistant, I googled the email and apparently it's a solicitor's place. The other is a 1 year contract receptionist position. Both pay 20k+ per year, so neither would be bad. I have no experience though, so I probably won't get them. Not to mention I have so much coming up - grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, my graduation, and a trip to Dublin to see Tim Minchin. The only one I personally am not willing to compromise on is Tim Minchin, and I'll be disowned if I miss the others. So employers will not like me.

Heya!
I was just thinking about you today actually, and the fact that I've not chatted with you in a bit. I'm pretty good. How's all with you?
Mr Y. - I understood virtually everything, so I can't really imagine what impact not understanding will have. Also, it's been a while. All the same, I think having just basic concepts will be okay.
Can you give me examples of what you didn't understand? Because the final movement of the novel involves a Matrix-style thought experiment, and the most fun comes from understanding it.
