  1. Oh, I didn't even see this post. But I remembered the thread title and merged them anyway, I hope that's okay....
  2. Much as Twilight annoys me, I kinda agree. If our girls went into another thread bashing something you lot liked, it probably wouldn't be tolerated.
  3. That's not about fashion, that's about indecent exposure
  4. I don't want sparklies. Now back on topic, people!
  5. Rawr not only loves sparklies, he's jealous he has none.
  6. Okay. I'm actually ashamed to be a girl right now. Yeah, the guys are hot or whatever, but that's hardly a focal point of seeing new clips... right? Those girls need to get boyfriends, badly. 'Omg he took his shirt off lolololol boys have boy-parts.' Please The clips were otherwise good.
  7. I voted 'other' . I read it and I love it, but I also despise it and wish it had never been written, as the fact that the corny girlish vampire stuff supercedes the fact that it's horribly written and makes me love it anyway makes me die a little inside
  8. Okay people where are these new New Moon clips?? I looked in the social group and saw nothing! LINK ME!!! (I can't help it, I love the movie )
  9. I would actually do anything to get you to read it Michelle, in the hopes that you wouldn't like it. I don't know anyone who has read it and survived it's charms. I hate it, but I also love it, and I'm really starting to think that's the best case scenario
  10. This might be a touchy annoyance, but an annoyance it is all the same - people who absolutely cannot do ANYTHING new on their own. I have a friend who wants to get a tattoo, and she won't even go into the place to ask about it without me. I didn't even ask her to come with me when I got mine done last year, and she didn't offer. It's just a bit childish, surely if she wants the thing, she can go get it without needing me to hold her hand?
  11. Not sure what I'll have.... might get some spring rolls from Tesco or something. I'm in a Chinesey mood, and I find they're the one thing non-Chinese places can often do quite well.
  12. I'm now skipping 4 seasons to watch the episode where Inspired by the fact that it's the 100th ep of the show, and the one where I shouldn't skip, but I really want to watch it. ET: Okay, NOW I'm all cried out.
  13. Now I just watched the one where I don't think I have any tears left, and my throat hurts. 'Is that it? Am I done?' <- I get teary just thinking about that line.
  14. I just watched the Angel episode, 'I Will Remember You' where I cried. A lot.
  15. This is an awesome idea. I've read several of those on your list. I haven't read The Fox And The Hound. However, the movie makes me cry enough, and it's a happy children's movie. I know what happens in the book, and the mere thought of it makes me want to cry.
  16. I must actually get hold of copy of this, I'd love to read it.
  17. I don't know anyone who reads, so I don't have anyone irl to lend to. I can't really afford to do a lot of bookrings either. I posted a book to England today and it cost me €7!! Come to think of it, I posted the same book to someone else and I'm sure it didn't cost that much... but what can you do.
  18. Okay, I finally finished. I'm too tired to gather all my thoughts right now - I'll post them in review format when they're written. Regarding the epilogue though, I thought it was great, because:
  19. My book collection is small enough (a bookcase and two bookshelves) that I can actually keep it all, which is nice. I'd only ever give away books I really really hated, as I like to read most books more than once.
  20. Maybe once New Moon is out and viewed. Until then, everything you're all saying about the movie (and the books) has already been said, possibly more than once. I've repeated myself a lot, too. So maybe when the new movie is out and there's new, comparison material, you guys can have a movie thread. Until then, talking about the movie in comparison to the book is allowed in this thread.
  21. When I'm walking along a busy street in a crowd, and suddenly the people in front of me stop suddenly, for no real reason, just to point at something in a window or whatever, and then I have to activate evasive manoeuvres very rapidly to avoid collison. Makes me go GRR.
  22. I had a lovely lunch in the city, which my grandad treated me, nan and mum to. I had roast chicken and ham, stuffing, mash, fresh veg and cranberry sauce. A Christmas dinner couldn't have been nicer Had apple pie then for dessert.
  23. I thought that might be the case. It's alright, I'm highly critical of it. But it is a thoroughly enjoyable movie. And I actually prefer Kristen Stewart as Bella. She's not as ditzy and swoony, which is good.
  24. Great minds I agree the music was spot on. The soundtrack is absolutely superb.
