  1. It is so hard to fight the temptation to add more books to my list. I want to try to finish the list before the year ends (and i don't actually think i will, but i'm trying nonetheless), but i won't achieve it if i keep adding to it. I have to have a secod TBR list. One that is for after the list i've got, maybe next years.
  2. I've been doing a load of pasta dishes recently and although i love pasta i really want to have something different tonight. I don't want rice though. Erm....
  3. to the forum frannyAnn.
  4. I remember in junior school one teacher reading us a lot the Roald Dahl books. I remember The Twits, and Georges Marvelous Medicine the most. I also remember him reading Enid Blyton's, but i can't remember what they were called. In High school i can only remember the name of: A Midsummer Nights Dream Macbeth An Inspector Calls I know we read a lot more and i remember loving the books, but i can't remember the titles.

    G'day!

Hello Bel-ami. I'm sure you'll like it here.
  6. I lost my fav bookmark, which was a cat that sat at the top of the page like it would on a fence, and held the page with its front paw and tail. However i do have a new one of a cat peeking out through a hole in the fence. It's really cute.

    Hi!

    Hi Prue! to the forum.
  8. This jelly fish thing made my laugh! I was stung by a jelly fish when i was young and i had quite a bad reaction to it. Now everytime i see one my family say 'oh look they've found out your here and come back for more!' which is really annoying!
  9. Good choice for tatoo's! I actually looked at some of your pictures and saw your stuffed toys. good collection. (katy)

  10. I just have to say i totally agree. That letter sends shivers down my spine. It's so passionate. I love the fact that a love can not take silence and isolation any more. He just has to know! Brilliant choice. As far as a modern romantic love goes: i think The Time Travellers Wife is beautiful. It's a more real love to me. Gritty in places. But to me that makes it a stronger type of love. I think it's wonderfull the way they need each other so much. The waiting, enduring and loving each other all the more for it.
  11. I love gardening. I have spent a lot of money time and effort this year doing my front garden up. Although i feel at the moment as though i closed my eyes for a second and the weeds have just shot back up and there is grass where its not supose to be!
  12. Let me know, if it does or doesn't. I need a good kick start back into my diet. Back to topic: Jacket pot with salad and coleslaw.
  13. Hey you. I just thought i'd leave you a little hello note. Take care. Hope to see you soon!

  14. Hi gyre. Love you Avatar. Is it from Spirited Away? I love that story. Have you seen Totoro by the same guys?

  15. Ok so.... i planned after i had read Marley & me to read Howards end but then i found The Time Travellers Wife for really cheap and i couldn't resist and bought it. I have been looking forward to reading this book as the idea fasinated me. I really enjoyed it. I will leave any proper reviews to the suitable thread and i will just say a few things: I recognized this book for what it proclaimed to be from the beginning; a love story. However it's not your typical love story(and i don't just meen it in a obvious way). I felt it's about being together as a proper family kind of love. One that is willing to put up with a type of separation that is unique and has a whole new type of loneliness, just because they want to wait for each other. I thought it was beautiful. I'm really looking forward to the film that is soon coming out. Book: 8/10 My next book?.......i think i will take your advice mac and read the Douglas Adams books next.

    Hello!

    Hello and to the forum.
  17. So shes your niece. I have just invited one of my best friends to join the forum. She hasn't yet introduced herself, and i'm wondering if she will actually have the time to come on the forum at all! How are you anyway?

  18. I cannot stand keeping things unless they will be used. Some books i keep but there has to be a very good reason. I'm quite hard with myself over things like that. I have to be really as my husband would keep everything he ever had if i let him!
  19. In Marley & Me he loves to use the word Rambunctious. But after reading the book i can understand it! The dogs crazy!
  20. I just put them on the shelf as they come in. I don't keep a lot of books so it's not diffcult to keep track of them. I know most books i won't read again, so i keep the ones i like for display, such as my favorites, really old looking books (coz i love the look and smell of them), collectors books, and books i know i want to read again at some point. Overall i don't really keep a lot of books. The rest just go to the charity shop.
  21. I read a lot of Enid Blyton. And Roald Dahl. Oh and Just William(can't remeber who that was by though)!
