  1. That is a stunning photo Anna, what a beauty Luka is.
  2. An inspirational man. Truly and rightly revered.
  3. I'm in a 'in-my-own-thoughts' mood today, and this suits perfectly.
  4. ^ Question, statement or next go? Epidermal
  5. Was it written in the past 50 years?
  6. Neither have I. Never have I ever stroked an owl.
  7. I discovered H.O.N.Y. on Facebook a little while ago after it was referenced in a newspaper article, and you are absolutely right with your assessment! It feels like a microcosm for the rest of the world.
  8. Brilliant reviews wordsgood, thought provoking stuff. I have put both of these books onto my wishlist. Iran and the impact of it's 'revolution' has always fascinated (I wish I could think of a better word) me, and this personal account, especially with the second book really appeals.
  9. Happy Birthday Dan, I hope all is well with you & yours.

  10. Great review Steve. You captured so well the appeal of The Hobbit.
  11. Just had a stubby pepsi max. Just what I needed to go with my very spicy (homemade, but not by me) samosas.
  12. Great review Pontalba, that immediately went onto my wish list.
  13. We really did Sara. Your boys must be looking forward to Christmas, are you planning a busy or quiet time? Or maybe a bit of both?
  14. Untying The Knot by the fabulous Linda Gillard is available for a short while at a reduced price on amazon; UK 96p USA $1.56
  15. How about a seasonal classic? Dickens' Christmas Carol!
  16. Yes, I have! It is so good to have those little cross over bits. I know what you mean about being 'all Clare'd out for a bit'. It's great to lose yourself in the Shadow hunter universe for a while, but nice to read other things afterward.
  17. I haven't read it, but could it possibly be 'The Great Gatsby'?
  18. Great review, and I agree totally with it! It is a different pace, with that shift of focus for all the characters.
  19. Immediately I would suggest the authors Marge Piercy or Toni Morrison. Often heart breaking, both authors have really well depicted female characters. Piercy's 'Gone To Soldiers' is a personal favourite that I can thoroughly recommend, although it can be a bit difficult to get hold of. Young adult titles I would include Beth Revis' 'Across The Universe' - you don't get much trickier situations than this young lady faces! Another brilliant series with one of my favourite characters is the Japser Fforde Thursday Next series, starting with 'The Eyre Affair'. I'll have a think on this, and see what else I can recommend.
  20. Happy Thanksgiving Day to our US friends. Enjoy.
  21. The first in the series is 59p on the kindle at the moment too!
