  5. Can my 'Chrissy's Reading 2012 Onwards' thread please be moved to the Past Book Logs section? I have decided to go with a shiny new 2014 thread for this year rather than continuing with the old one. Inserting a link just doesn't want to work for me at the moment, and I can't copy and paste the blooming thing so.... http:// www.bookclubforum.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/9607-chrissys-reading-2012-onwards Thank you.

  14. Muggle Not, I think Peacefield has just been super busy. I noticed that she had made a few comments on Facebook recently, so I assume all is ok . A minus 45 wind chill is mighty cold. Brrrrrr. We lost the internet for 36 hours, but now it is back on for us. It wasn't awful without it but it did alter our routines a little. Funny how things slide into our day so easily and it's only when they are absent that we see it. Locally streams and rivers are swelling, but so long as their tides don't coincide with super heavy rainfall I hope we can remain accessible. Our little village in on a rise, so we are very lucky not to have to worry about domestic flooding.
  15. Thanks Lil Pixie! You too.
  16. Our internet is currently wonky so won't be about too much, but may I wish you all a very very HAPPY NEW YEAR! Big Hugs and kisses to you all. XXX

  19. That sounds really refreshing Kreader, I will have to look out for it. I'm enjoying a glass of Christmas Mead. It's all warming spices and glowing flavours. I rarely drink alcohol, but I do enjoy a glass of mead around Christmas.
  20. Here is a new shiny thread for my reading in 2014.There is no organising of my books into any lists as I think it would scare me into a missing mojo, therefore I will carry on with just noting the books when they are finished. 21. This should be my last post in here as I round up my 2013 reads. Earlier in the year I read a couple of different series by a new-to-me author, SM Reine. Her Descent Series featured the preternatural investigator and exorcist Elise Kavanagh who is the expert when it comes to violent deaths at the jaws of evil (fantasticfiction). They perked up my (at times) sluggish mojo, so when I fell into another reading slump this month I thought I would visit with Elise again. Glad I did! 52) Sacrificed In Shadow 53) Oaths Of blood 54) Ruled By Steel 55) Caged In Bone Gods, demons, angels, humans, shady organisations, werewolves, possessions and secret cults. It's all in there alongside magic, angelic dimensions, demonic domains, betrayal, heroism and kick ass action. I have enjoyed this series and am looking forward to the next book in the series in 2014. To round off the year I have started Dan Brown's 'Inferno'. If I finish it before the 1st of January I will get my review in here. THANK YOU TO ALL VISITORS TO MY LITTLE READING THREAD OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS. FEEL FREE TO COME VISIT ME IN MY NEW SHINY 2014 THREAD.
  22. Happy Birthday Kat. X

  23. I have read Jeffrey Deaver's 'Blue Nowhere' a few years ago. Mr Deaver is yet to write a bad book, and 'Blue Nowhere' is clever, twisty and occasionally unnerving.
  24. That's a lovely idea - I may just steal that to do myself! Despite loving poetry I don't read enough of it. Happy reading in 2014, you have a great TBR list there.
