  1. "HELP! Someone - anyone - please, help me!" 'Witchfinder ~ Dawn Of The Demontide' by William Hussey
  2. I'm going to need more from you on this one. Talk about an enigmatic post!
  3. This is a pic of one. It's basically an ice cream cone, lined with a thin layer of chocolate, and filled with a soft ice cream with it's added flavour (mint choc chip, choc and nuts, strawberry etc). It's very naughty, and a little bit delish.
  4. I have just had a strawberry cornetto. I realllllly enjoyed it.
  5. Walking On Sunshine ~ Katrina And The Waves
  6. Paint. Cashmere Or silk?
  7. numbers of singers who would spend the night...
  8. An early lunch of torteliini in a homemade tomato sauce.
  9. Ooh, that sounds brilliant! Having yomped around a couple this week, I'd have loved to have seen that. 'Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix'. It's on the tv, and is on in the background. I am looking forward to the end with the Dumbly / Moldy Voldy face-off.
  10. That just means you should have the book reading wisdom of three twenty year olds! From the look of the poll, there should be at least 22 others in your 'bracket', while I am sitting in the bracket just below you, (or should that read above you?)the 41 - 50s.
  11. Jacket Potato with fennel sausages and salad.
  12. Raven, I just noticed your location! Well really!
  13. I was really impressed by Matt as the Doctor. He is a good charasmatic actor, and well suited to the role. My (solo) jury is still out regarding Little Miss Pond ~ not so sure about her.
  14. I love Mel Brook's films too, and I always considered Gene Wilder to be a greatly under rated and under appreciated actor.
  15. It's been years since I've seen this one. Does the humour still stand up well?
  16. What she said! The technological aspects and the textual underbelly has Japanese influences.
  17. James Clavell's 'Shogun' is a dense but really enthralling read. I also would throw in a favourite read of mine, 'Neuromancer' by William Gibson. It may be considered a stretch of sorts but I wanna throw it out there anyway!
  18. Still have a missing reading mojo, but have added quite a few history books (North Wales, Anglesey etc) and books relating to castles (Caernarfon, Conwy etc.) to my ever increasing TBR pile. I also managed to pop into the shops today, and came out with a Nicci French paper back, 'What To Do When Someone Dies', and John Hart's 'The Last Child'. When my mojo returns it will be thoroughly exhausted with all the catching up it has to do!
  19. 1) I'm in love with North Wales (just got back from my first holiday there!). 2) I love castles. 3) I love travelling with my OH, we just laugh so much together. 4) I miss my elderly animals (2 cats, 1 dog) when I'm away. 5) I love my own bed!
  20. That's not weird ~ I totally get that, there is something about that girly personage. I come over all a bit wobbly when I see Jean Reno, Alan Rickman or Gary Oldman. They aren't so weird as I know I'm not alone in my crush.
  21. I think the joke is that Sadie is offering sex, but the old man that 'guesses' doesn't want to have sex with her, so his 'guess' is just ridiculous as she clearly could not have an elephant in her purse. Sadie must want to have sex, or wants the old man to think she does, so when she responds with 'Close enough' she is making the possibility of sex likely. The joke is that she couldn't possibly have an elephant in her purse, and what on earth could be a 'close enough' guess? Not a great joke.
  22. Not so fast SKM, it's an long weekend, I think we'd all love to be told a long story.
