Upstairs we have four large bookcases, and three long rows of book shelves.
We keep reference, hobby and most of our non fiction and Classic books.
Downstairs we have three large bookcases, and two 3 shelf built-in units.
This holds all fiction, books relating to holidays, maps and waterways books. One of the two built-in units is devoted to crime and thrillers (mainly mine).
At the moment the downstairs shelves are overflowing and overwhelmed. We are going through them gradually, sorting out those that won't be re-read an those that we should not had bought in the first place. The 'problem' is that the books just keep coming!

If these are basic, then you carry on keeping it simple! I can feel the wind and rain from those, they're terrific!

That's a terrible/wonderful story Rachel!
Mine involved a moment of passion in a lounge room, cheesy puff savoury snacks accidentally stuck on the part of my anatomy that I sit on, and my standing up afterwards to be caught in all my naked but for savoury snack glory by the person who chose that moment to unexpectedly walk in!

Not my tastes, but definitely my breadth.

Hello bookreader5315, and welcome to the forum. I've not heard of either the author or the book, has it been out long?

I think they might splice the film after Shell Cottage.
It rounds off what has taken place until then, and is the only 'pause' before the action and turmoil later on.

Birdsong ~ they are making a right (wonderful) racket outside at the moment.

If that is a recent photo of you Rob, then please tell me what moisturiser you are using!
I had you down (from the pic) as a year or two younger than me (42 'til August!).
