I've now merged the two threads for ease of reference.
Well, if you're going to do the sensible Mod thing!
I'm sure there's a really good reason I hadn't even come close to thinking about doing that.... I will have to get back to you with what that reason is. *sidles away whistling tunelessly*

There's a particular passage in one of Dorothy L Sayers Lord Peter Wimsey novels where Lord Peter and Harriet are discussing the worth of her writing fictional crime stories.
The gist of Lord Peter's feelings were described as a matter that we (crime fiction readers) enjoy a world where resolution is sought and found.
Gritty, well drawn characters and believable (of a sort) situations with a well developed psychological aspect. That's my kind of crime!

But it was to run to the very local shop, so I didn't bother to change them!
Never have I ever held a large spider. Little ones, yes as I have made a dash for the door to get rid of it, but nothing bigger than my (short) fingernail.

Hmmm... sounds like someone's putting off trying to get their mojo back in gear
I can see why you might, but it's because OH is away and it's the first chance I've had!
Good news though...For the first time in ages I'm not feeling overwhelmed by my vast TBR mountains, I feel like I have lots of reading to look forward to. Can't be bad.

I have been book shelf sorting!
I am still in Phase 1, which is to go through the books and decide on keepers and giver-awayers + damp dust the shelves (it's been a while).
Phase 2 is to arrange the books according to author / type.
Phase 3 is the one I am truly looking forward to ~ standing back and giving a contented sigh at my gleaming filled shelves.
