    I think The Hobbit is my favourite, maybe because it was the first Tolkien book I read. I loved it because it set the characters and it is an exciting adventure. I think Tolkien did an amazing job with his descriptions of a totally new land and people, but do agree that some parts of, The Lord of The Rings, did go on a bit too long. I`ve still got the Silmarillion on my bookshelf, I tried but failed to get into it, maybe one day.........?

    Hello, how are you?

    I`m ok, looking forward to next week, then I`ll have 6weeks off work. :D I`m hoping to catch up with some reading, I`ve lost my enthusiasm for it recently. :(

    Glad you enjoyed the 2nd book, I always like a break between books in a series as well.

    Hello Kevin, it`s good to meet you. Your English is very good, well done. I think most members of this forum have large numbers of books waiting to be read, so don`t feel bad, it`s quite normal. What music do you like to listen to?

    I`ve read London and Sarum and really enjoyed them, it sounds as though I`ll enjoy Russka too, think I`ll order it from the library. I agree he is a good author.

    Hello, haven`t spoken to you for ages, so thought I`d see how you are doing. How`s things - seen any celebrity`s lately? I picked up Alan Carr`s book in the charity shop the other day and I`m looking forward to reading it - I always think of you now when I see anything to do with him! Take care.
