  1. I can`t remember the titles but there are a couple of JD`s books that I didn`t enjoy, so you might be pleased/relieved, to know it`s not just you!
  2. What have you got to lose? If you fancy giving it a go, then you should apply!
  3. You`re so kind Inver thank you. (No that`s not a bribe! ) Is it Change of heart?
  4. I just noticed it`s nearly your 3 month anniversary of stopping smoking! Just wanted to say, well done and congratulations!!

  5. Thanks, I look forward to reading more of his work, just trying to clear some of the backlog first.
  6. I`ve put The Last Witchfinder on my list all ready! Enjoy Jeffery and feel free to join the Deaverettes! Have a good evening yourself.

  7. I see you`re reading Jeffery. Have you read much by him? I think he`s the best, so many unexpected twists, he is the master! Enjoy.

  8. Dexter in the Dark ~ Jeff Lindsay The third book in the Dexter series, light hearted and an easy read. I enjoyed this book as I have the previous two, but having said that, I didn`t enjoy this one quite as much as the others, however it was highly readable all the same. Dexter is such a great character you can`t help but love him even if he is a serial killer! I`m looking forward to reading the next book in the series soon.
  9. The Hunchback of Notre-Dame ~ Victor Hugo In a brilliant reworking of the tale of Beauty and the Beast, Hugo creates a host of unforgettable characters - amongst them, Quasimodo, the hunchback of the title, hopelessly in love with the gypsy girl Esmeralda, the satanic priest Claude Frollo, Clopin Trouillefou, king of the beggars, and Louis X1, King of France. Over the entire novel, both literally and symbolically broods the Cathedral of Notre- Dame. My Thoughts So much waffle about architecture nearly made me give up through boredom, but I struggled on and skimmed some parts, and soon I found myself enjoying it. The characters were so strong and I found myself caring for them and their situation. Hugos descriptions were so detailed and clear you could almost see it. Definately not an easy read but I`m very glad I persevered.
  10. I really enjoyed Copycat by this author, and it looks like, Bone Cold, is equally as good. Thanks for the review.
  11. Hello SillyBeggar, welcome to the forum.

    Hey all

Hello and welcome to the forum.
  17. If you pm me your address I`ll try to get it in the post tomorrow, if not it`ll be Monday. It`s better than leaving it sitting on the shelf!

  18. Hello, I just saw you haven`t got part 2 of the Dexter series, I`ve got the omnibus if you`d like it, it`s got the first 3 books in it. Let me know and I`ll send it out.

  19. I`m glad you enjoyed Dexter in the Dark so much. I didn`t think it was quite as good as the first two, I still enjoyed it though `cause it was good. I`m looking forward to reading your review of Dexter by Design, hope you enjoyed it, I imagine you did.
  20. No moat maybe, but he`s probably got a helipad to have resurfaced or something!
  21. It was fun watching their reactions to some of the interviewers comments last night. James made me laugh, he just couldn`t see the problem with his comments on his CV. I`m not sure who I want to win, neither really I think! I`ll miss it when it`s over though.
  22. Thanks for the warning, it won`t be easy, it`s the first bit of the book I read normally! I`ll do my best though. TTFN

  23. It looked good from the trailer. I`ll be watching.
  24. Hi, I`m good thanks especially now we`re having such glorious weather - hope the same can be said for you? Thanks for the friendship request and thanks for letting me know about the book, I`ll look out for that and I`ll do my best to save you the indignity of eating your hat! Lee Child is an author I`ve heard of and seen his books about but never got around to trying, I will rectify that very soon and I`ll be sure to let you know how it goes. Happy reading.

  25. I love a good thriller but don`t think I`ve ever read anything by Lee Child, it sounds like I`d enjoy his Jack Reacher books. Can these books be read in any order or is it best to start at the beginning? I always enjoy reading your reviews by the way.
