Hey Vodkafan
You're doing so great with your reading this month. Already 9 books, that's awesome! Mind sharing some mojo with me?
I've read only 3 books last month and 3 this month so far...
-
I'm reading Graceling by Kristin Cashore at the moment. It's good and keeping my mojo on track

Oh my, my Mojo has left me in the past couple of months. I've only read 3 books in September and only 3 books in October so far.
The mojo is coming back slowly though and I hope it will stay for a long while!
At the beginning of the month I started a new Job at the public library, which is really great! And I'm getting bigger eyes every day, all those books I'd like to read ...

Lovely bf surprised me with new books yesterday:
Chris D'Lacey > Firestar
Chris D'Lacey > The Fire Eternal
Chris D'Lacey > Dark Fire
Chris D'Lacey > Fire World
I was looking toward his bookcase and there were books with light reflecting spines where there weren't any before. So I asked him what books they were and where they stood before ( I couldn't read the spines because of the reflection), as he his rearranging his bookcase. He just said that I should just have a look if I wanted to know. And there they were, the rest of the Last Dragon Chronicles. The books found a new home in my bookcase right away I am so happy

Day 05 – A book that makes you happy
I guess that would be The Giggler Treatment by Roddy Doyle because it's just so hilarious!
Day 06 – A book that makes you sad
there are only a few books that made me almost shed a tear, the only ones that come to my mind are New Moon by Stephenie Meyer and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.

Emma Donoghue > Room
synopsis from amazon
It's Jack's birthday, and he's excited about turning five. Jack lives with his Ma in Room, which has a locked door and a skylight, and measures 11 feet by 11 feet. He loves watching TV, and the cartoon characters he calls friends, but he knows that nothing he sees on screen is truly real - only him, Ma and the things in Room. Until the day Ma admits that there's a world outside . . . Told in Jack's voice, Room is the story of a mother and son whose love lets them survive the impossible.
my thoughts
This was a wonderful read, very moving. Everything that is so normal for Jack makes you ache for him as he just doesn't know it differently. The book is written from Jacks point of view and there for a bit childlike. As my english is not that good, I struggled a bit to understand everything at first. But I got into it soon enough and finished the book in a few days, beeing practicaly glued to it.

Day 04 – Favourite book of your favourite series
Probably the first one, Harry Potter and the philosophers stone, as this is where all the magic starts.
-
I love Goodreads! But I also keep a several wish-lists on amazon, as I don't put wish-lists on goodreads.
-
Day 03 – Your favourite series
That would probably be the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling, because it's a series that I've read and re-read.
-
I've have started Icefire by Chris D'Lacey today.
-
Tonight we'll have rice with leek, salmon and a fat reduced sauce hollandaise.
-
Noodles/Pasta with chives for lunch
-
Day 02 – A book that you’ve read more than 3 times
That would probably be Go ask Alice by Anonymous, which I read quite a few times in german and english when I was in my teens.
-
Today it's plain joghurt with fresh nectarines, plums and a banana.
-
This month I will take a shot at the list, too.
-
I have decided to try and answer those book-questions this month. Here we go...
Day 01 – Best book you read last year
This would be any of the three Millennium-trilogy-books by Stieg Larsson. As I loved all three, I simply couldn not decide which one's the best.
-
Very good choiceI am currently reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Loving it so far.
-
Thanks Chesil, the next one was indeed better and I read in in two days. It's a YA book by a german author. Yesterday evening I started The fire within by Chris D'Lacey, it's such a lovely book and as a re-read it might get my mojo really back on track.
