Nice to see, that I'm not the only one who roam the free eBook section on Amazon.
And, reading your posts, I saw that the UK version seems far more interesting.
I began thinking about registering there as well.
Just for freebies, to avoid money changing fees.
it doesn't work to download ebooks from amazon.uk while you're in germany. I already tried...

How do you like the Narnia books? I still have most of them on my tbr pile.

I have a Terry Pratchett one which is my favourite, a Carlos Ruiz Zaphon, Kai Meyer, E.R. Reilly and John Pridmore (which you may be happy to hear is a non fiction Talisman)
I also have a signed book from Kai Meyer, which book do you have? I'm just wondering because he's my favourite german author and I would like to know if we mean the same person.
-
I have a signed photo card from Joy Fielding, who was at a book fair a few years ago. And I also got signed books from John Katzenbach, Karin Slaughter and Kai Meyer from book readings/signings.

I've started to watch the first season on dvd this week and I'm not sure what to think of it. It's not supernatural enough, like, well Supernatural, but it's too supernatural to be like the csi type shows. Weird...

9. Condie, Ally > Matched
synopsis from amazon
Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate . . . until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.
The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.
my thoughts
It was a nice read, not quite enough action for me though, the story kinda dabbled along, without anything really happening. There still is some potential in the story which makes me curious to what might happen in the next books though, so I might read the second book aswell to find out where the story goes.
rating: 3/5
series: Matched 1
