This sounds great! I've heard about read-a-thons on youtube/booktube before and I'd really like to join in with the next one in june. This weekend is full of work unfortunately, so I won't have so much time to read.

I've had an awesome reading april. I've read seven books and the absolute best was The name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Highly recommend!

Oh my, I haven't been here in ages
In May I already finished book 5 of the Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaughn and started The girl who loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King.
-
I've finished The people of Sparks by Jeanne Duprau as my first book this year (I'm having quite the slow start this year) and started Dark Moon by Claire Knightley

I have a Kindle touch

Stopped reading the first of the Chicagoland Vampires books by Chloe Neill, I couldn't get past the first 80 pages or so. Not my cup of tea. Not sure what to read next, maybe Skinned by Robin Wasserman.

11. Smith, L. J. > Die Ankunft (The Initiation)
12. Smith, L. J. > Der Verrat (The Captive)
13. Smith, L. J. > Die Erlösung (The Power)
synopsis from amazon
Forced to move from sunny California to gloomy New England, Cassie is homesick - until she forms a bond with a group of teenagers at her school. This clique rules the school - no one dare cross them - but Cassie feels a strange kinship with them, and when she is initiated into their 'secret circle' she is both terrified and thrilled to be part of a coven of witches that have controlled New Salem for hundreds of years...But then Cassie falls in love. Now she has a tough decision to make: does she walk away, or does she step over to the dark side?
my thoughts
I didn't care too much about theses books, even though the first one started out fine. As much as I like YA books, I'm definately too old for this series

I finished Finding Sky this morning but I haven't decided what to read next. The search for WondLa or The handmaids tale? Suggestions?
-
I keep my books in 6 1/2 Billys, which take up a whole wall in our living room. They're organized by genre (crime, fantasy, children and the rest) and author.

10. Stephen King/Richard Bachman > The long walk
synopsis from amazon
On the first day of May, 100 teenage boys meet for a race known as "The Long Walk". If you break the rules, you get three warnings. If you exceed your limit, what happens is absolutely terrifying...
my thoughts
A very fascinating read revolving around those boys and what they are going through. The setting is quite simple which makes it even more intense and compelling. I would definately recommend this book.

What's Up in May?

We just moved in to a new apartement a couple of weeks ago and it still is absolute chaos. So may will be full of unpacking and cleaning, and tidying up the place. There will also be my 30th birthday in may and my sister, niece and father will come to visit me (which is extremely rare!) for that day. They will also meet my partners parents for the first time. After four years it's about time, I believe. Exciting.
