I'm with Virgin & we shall stay with Virgin. We've never had any problems & we've been with them for over 3 years now. They do internet only packages, as well as phone/internet packages, & tv/phone/internet packages. I would highly recommend them, especially now that they have e-billing (Royal Mail seemed to lose my bill a lot - along with a lot of my other mail, too).

Hi Blencathra!:17:to the forum!
-
Saw this one on the news this evening. Kinda surprised it hasn't happened before now!

Pizza & spicy chicken wings for us. Can't wait to get moved out of the hotel!

It's so sad yet so beautiful! I take it that does mean you enjoyed the book.
Oh, I definately enjoyed it! I am not so fond of some of how the book was written, but the things I didn't like (luckily) didn't ruin the book for me.
Me too. I finished it today, and I cried. It takes quite a bit to make me blub, but oh brother, I blubbed and blubbed.Definately a great book & one I shall heartily recommend!

I finished reading The Time Traveller's Wife this morning. I cried!

Born reader. Even won a competition once in school for reading (& writing book reports on) the most books out of everyone in the school that year.

Charm, I think you'll love The Time Traveller's Wife! I'm about 1/2 way through uit, but haven't picked it (or anything else for that matter) up in over a week. Until our Budget is approved at work I am too busy & too tired to read anything!
Roxi - glad you liked Too Close to Home! I loved it & would agree with you about the ending. I though Jim Cutter was a very funny character & agree that he did come out with some great lines.

I am just a tiny bit in love with Derren Brown. Hubby keeps pointing out that he's gay and very happy with his partner, but it doesn't stop me fancyingthe pants off him!All the best men are gay or taken. Derren is apparently both. Darn. I didn't know that.
I didn't know that he was gay until I read about it in this weekend's Sunday Times - there was a long article about him in there (glad I bought that paper - we only bought it to get the free Shawshank Redemption dvd!) I was gutted because I fancy the pants off him........... Oh well, I guess I can chalk that up to another gorgeous man I can't have!
I'd love to - I hope he does a show in Aberdeen one of these days.I use to BE security - LOL! They probably would have to restrain me tough - he's one of very few celebs that might actually send me over the edge!
Kell, I do hope you get to see him - he's brilliant live & far sexier in person! Far more charismtic, too! Hmmmmm, maybe it's a good thing he's gay?
-
Oh my goodness! That is so sad!

Oh, I love Derren Brown! I saw him live in London a couple years ago & he was brillant! He does almost always tell people how he does the tricks (at least on his live shows he does). At the end of the show he goes through how he manipulates people into making the choices he wants them to, or how he predicts what they will say/do by their body language & reactions to the things he says/does.
I'm watching the show now. Can't wait to see how he did it!

Hey Jessi, welcome to the forum!

Still reading The Time Traveller's Wife - really enjoying it, but I have so little time to read these days!

I believe you and I were born the same year, ScarletBella since I have those same titles . I was also super excited to see 'My Name is Asher Lev' by Chaim Potok published in that year. That is such a wonderful book! Also 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull' by Richard Bach. I read that many years ago and loved it too.
Make that three of us born in the same year, as those were the choices for me, too.

I had a bowl of vegetable soup & some chicken chasseur with glazed carrots.

This sounds like a good one, but there are only 1 or 2 on either list for my birth year that interest me.....maybe after some research I might find some others? Would be interesting!

I started reading The Time Traveller's Wife on the train on Friday & though I am not very far in, I am loving it!

A Lifetime Burning was the 3rd book of Linda Gillard's which I have read. It was a very challenging read - so completely different from her first 2 I had read, but it was an excellently written challenge! Well done Linda - many an author would have shied away from such potentially controversial topics! 8/10

I was at a networking dinner for work & had a delicious chicken fillet with bbq sauce caramelised onions, garlic & parmesan mash potatoes & grilled butternut squash with pumpkin seeds. Deluxe Chocolate brownie for dessert! I'm stuffed!

SueB, that's quite interesting! I tried reading it but hated it. I can't wait to see your review!
