And what did you think, Heather?

Suicide bombers are easy to spot. - Gone Tomorrow by Lee Child

For my party of 8 I would have:
Matthew Perry - just because I think he's lovely
Kathy Reichs
Jeffery Deaver
Dian Fossey
Michael J. Fox
Terry Fox
Derren Brown
I tried to even it out guy-girl wise, but didn't quite succeed!

Thank you to Chimera for lending this out on a book ring. The Camel Bookmobile by Masha Hamilton is a very good book about Fi, an American woman who moves to Kenya to help run the Camel Bookmobile, which brings donated library books to the distant tribes of Kenyans. I found the book very easy to read & liked that it was written from so many different people's perspectives & it definately made me question how I feel about the real Camel Bookmobile!

The Camel Bookmobile came to me via a book ring courtesy of Chimera & to her, I say Thank You! I really enjoyed it - & it made me question how I felt about the real Camel Bookmobile.

I finished reading Star Gazing by Linda Gillard a fair while ago (June 8th, to be exact) & it was a fantastic book! I had previously read one of Linda's other books & this one was even better! An excellent read & I am so glad that I chose it for my England read.

Hello Eliza! Welcome to the forum! Hope you enjoy it here.

Excellent review Charm & yes, I would agree with you that Mr. Deaver is a tad formulaic, but luckily it works! I think the formula bit is why I made sure I didn't read anymore Lincoln Rhyme books one right after the other, once I had discerned the formula. Luckily, knowing that there is a formula to his books doesn't make them any less readable & definately doesn't make them any easier to suss!

You know, up until I read that last sentence I was sitting here thinking "I wonder what that is she's reading? It sounds really good, I wonder who the author is?"

I'm an ex-military policeman who is now a wanderer travelling around the US. Currently I am in NYC where I have just witnessed a woman commit suicide.

Stravinsky was a brilliant composer, conductor & pianist! Listen to
!Edit: Oh yeah & the logo's lovely!

I was getting into Studio 60.
I loved Studio 60! It was a brilliant show & it's a shame that NBC cancelled it - especially as they didn't really give it a fair chance at succeeding by moving it around the time/date slots.
-
I'd pay good money to see this!!
You can now officially call yourself a Deaverette!!
Me too! Now, get your butt over there & join the club!
-
I've never read it. You'll have to let us know. Maybe the Mods should merge this thread with the Jeffery Deaver one, since we have done a lot of talking about Non-Rhyme books on here. Maybe I'll suggest it to them?

Nope, I don't have very many friends, unfortunately, it's a direct result of having moved around so much for so many years. I was only teasing about the getting together to see the movie - I know that I will just have to wait until it comes out on dvd as my OH won't go see it with me. He hates chick flicks.
-
Awww, maybe we should see if there are a bunch of us who want to go & we could meet half way.
-
Hey DayDream! :welcome2:to the forum!
-
I definately want to see the movie, but really wish that I could see it with my Mom & sisters. As it is, if I am going to get to see it while it is in the cinema, I will have to go see it by myself.

The kitchen in the hotel is closed tonight so I had to have take away pizza. Really wish I hadn't!

Thanks Charm! Must see if we can find a suitable substitute.............

I finished Dexter by Design a fair while ago but just didn't get the review written until today. As per usual, I loved this book! I sailed through it & am now officially in Dexter withdrawl (which according to reliable sources is predicted to last for about 2 years) - oh the torture! 9/10

I joined, but can't seem to find my way around. I tried to find you, Heather as yours was the only user name I could remember, but it told me you didn't exist!
