  2. Ooh, I forgot about 4OD!!!
  3. Frankie, if you can manage to turn your brain off about the book, I think you will really enjoy the movie. Maybe you need to leave it & re-visit it at another point, once you've had the chance to digest the fact that it is so different? Ref the Deaverettes - Quick count of the number of posts on this thread (or the other Deaver one) made by men. Wonder how many there are? Charm, glad the book arrived safe & sound. Hope you like it! Hope you've been avoiding those spoilers!!
  4. I think Jeffery & the Deaverette is a great name!
  5. Well, those are my thoughts, too, but I just wanted to see what everyone else thought. I didn't experience that when I watched it because I saw the movie before I read the book, so I had nothing to base the movie on. Thom - again, same as above, but once I had read the book - oh yeah! I complained bitterly about them making Thom a woman!
  6. D**n! I don't have More 4 here!
  7. I can''t wait to hear your final thoughts, Nicola!

  10. Hmm, I just went to go do it, but just want to make sure that we aren't duplicating......as there is already a social group called "There's been a murder", or something like that! What does everyone think?

  15. That's one of the pile of books that are coming with me to Doncaster & I can't wait to get it started, Beth!! I finished reading Always Looking Up by Michael J. Fox on the 30th of April & I have such mixed emotions about this book! Don't get me wrong, I loved it & give it a 10/10, but there were little niggly aspects I didn't like, but which shall remain unspoken because they really had nothing to do with the book. I think that this is a book that I shall most definately re-read & I'm likely to go buy Lucky Man so I can re-read it, too!

  17. Red, White, and Drunk All Over: A Wine Soaked Journey From Grape to Glass - by Natalie Maclean
  18. Rcee, Frankie's right! You should start from the beginning (why does that word look wrong?). I have a couple of them that you can have if you want? They're from further into the series, but you could hang onto them to read when you get to them. Oh, I sooooooo agree with this sentiment!! I would have to say that he is definately my favourite!
  19. And an invisi-shield! So OH doesn't get put out by the nestling!
  20. Charm, shall be posting The Coffin Dancer off to you tomorrow!!

  23. lol, probably!I saw in one of the gossip rags today that she's blaming Simon because she is apparently no longer friends with that other girl. She says that Simon ruined her life. I'm sorry, but he didn't hold a gun to her head & make her audition without her friend. Yes, he did push her for an answer, but it was her choice. She could have said no, but she chose to take the chance & come back & audition alone. Backstage she said that she had been waiting for this big chance, so now that she's having to deal with the fallout from HER decision she's taking the easy out & blaming someone else?
  24. Glad to hear you're settling ok! Saw your handbag escapades on the off topic, sounds like quite the hunt!

  25. Mac, does this rule extend to "New" novels by your staple authors? The reason I ask is that I saw Lee Child's new one in Waterstones today -
