  1. I'm having Hunter's chicken (chicken smothered in bbq sauce, topped with bacon & melted cheese) & spicy potato wedges.
  2. Oh my god you two are funny!!
  3. Perhaps you prefer one of these images, Ghost? I have to admit, he doesn't look like what I imagined, but I'm not really bothered by what he looks like, as long as he continues to write brilliant books!!
  4. Okay, okay, I surrender! You win!!
  5. ** Not to be pedantic but only the 1st series is based on one of the books, the 1st book. The rest of the series are unrelated to the books, except for the main characters, that is. Or, at least that's what I've read, cause I've never seen the series on telly. <--Me to Charm
  6. ME TOO!!!!!! Only it was just the 1st 2 lines & I couldn't figure out where I knew thats song................then about an hour later it hit me - like a brick! Brilliant results for the UK, but I didn't like the song. Far too West End-ie. They need someone like Take That (Gary Barlow) or some other popular group/song writer - to write the song, imo, at least.
  7. rwemad - I bought Dexter in the Dark last week & sneakily read the 1st chapter when I bought it, while sitting in a caf with a lovely Chai tea latte (as you do, lol) & I know exactly what you are talking about regarding the begining...........I had been hoping that the "prologue" was something that wasn't a vein through the book. Hmmm, I really hope I like this book.
  8. Now, I don't know that I would agree that they are quite similar. I think they're nothing alike - unless you count that they are written by the same author & both take place in Afghanistan..............................................
  9. Hello Martine!! Welcome to the forum!!
  10. "But they had their victim, alive, at a particular place and a particular time. From here they would begin a canvass of the immediate area, as well as determine the SEPTA route that stopped across the street. The laundry was a good ten blocks from Kristina Jako's new house, so there was no way she would have walked that distance in the cold." - Broken Angels by Richard Montanari
  11. But you're good!!
  12. I'm willing to wait, Frankie. I'm reading a Richard Montanari at the mo, so I'm good to wait.

  17. Rcee, that's brilliant!!
  18. Salut Genevieve, Comment-vas tu? Oui, je suis Canadienne, je viens de Nouveau Brunswick. Yes, I do indeed suffer from wanderlust, but mon amour is someone who doesn't like travelling. So, because of him I choose to stay here in the UK. Absolument, that is indeed the lovely Gendarme Benton Fraiser. Which library thing do you refer to?

  19. I think he's taken lessens from Wogan!
  20. So ladies, when are we getting started on our next installment of darling, delectable, devious, demented Dexter?
  21. Me too, please!
  22. What a good idea, Janet!! Russia, Canada, then USA - that would fill a lot of the map!!
  23. I'm on messenger, btw
