  1. I haven't really done a proper count but I would guess between 25 and 35 .
  2. Hello and welcome. We are off to Florida in August and I can't wait! Anyway this is a really friendly site and before you know it you will have a massive reading list!
  3. Sounds like a good read. Will add it to my ever increasing list!
  4. Ah right, I didn't realise it was even out of a film . I picked it off an avatar site because it looked weird but cute! Thanks for letting me know as a couple of people have asked me what it was!

  5. How weird was that talent contest?!
  6. My 13 year old son read a book called Skellig which was from the school library and he recomended it.
  7. Mine are: The Shawshank Redemption. Pulp Fiction. Desperately Seeking Susan. Dirty Dancing. ( Corny I know but takes me back to my youth!) Frankie and Johnny. Breakfast at Tiffanys. Goodfellas. Witness. The Money Pit.
  8. Am going to start reading it this evening.Really looking forward to reading it. Its one of those books I've wanted to read but never got round to it.
  9. I have absolutely no idea what it is but thought it was cute and a bit different when I seen it on the avatar site!

  10. Hello and welcome.
  11. Hello and welcome.
  12. Totally agree, that was absolutely revolting to watch! They are both useless anyway. Mario wants everything done his way and is arrogant and every time I see that Lisa she is sitting in bed applying make up!
  13. Not sure what we are having yet, will maybe do something simple like jacket potatoes with salad.
  14. I loved the book and found it quite sad as many women in the past will have sadly been institutionalised by their families for no reason. I sympathised and felt for the character of Esme. My only criticisms were that the ending seemed quite rushed and I did not understand the need for the sub plot involving Iris, Alex and Luke. I felt that more time could have been devoted to the character of Esme instead. I would give it an 8 out of 10.
  15. Before our two year old was born we bought him these. Because of the stark black and white images they really attracted his attention right from birth and he used to love looking at them in the first few months. We also got him one like the ones below but that unfolded and we used to put it around his moses basket for him to look at. http://www.amazon.co.uk/White-Black-Tana-Hoban/dp/0688119190/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1213997013&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Faces-Babys-Very-First-Book/dp/0333994175/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1213997320&sr=1-1
  16. Same way for me as well, just did a Google search on book forums.
  17. It was a Ministry of Sound one. I really want the Ministry of Sound Chilled one next.
  18. Hello and welcome. I am new to the site and have found it very friendly.
  19. I've read two of Binchys books and just don't like her writing at all.
  20. 1. Who is your all-time favourite author, and why? I really could not narrow it down to just one, have loads of authors that I love. 2. Who was your first favourite author, and why? Do you still consider him or her among your favourites? I used to love Roald Dahls books when I was younger and Jill Murphy was also a big favourite as I absolutely loved The Worst Witch books! 3. Who
  21. I tend to get rid of my books at a second hand bookshop I visit in Alnwick, they don't give you money for them but you have an account with them and they give you credit to get more books. They give you a reasonable amount for each book plus the actual bookshop is a converted railway station so there is a massive selection of books there.
