  1. Should be worth watching if they are putting a new person in but I hope that Davina interviews Alex , it would be interseting to see how Davina treats her and what she has to say for herself.
  2. I read this last year found it an incredible book. Cupcake had endured so much it is unbelievable.
  3. Mario is awful, he is extremely arrogant and full of himself. The way him and Lisa are constantly all over each other makes me feel sickly! Alex is soo two faced, and her nice act at the moment is just unplausible.
  4. I didn't read the whole book , or even half but I just wasn't keen, couldn't get into it and I didn't find the dialogue very goodMaybe one day I will read it right through.
  5. Hi,

  6. Hi,

Sorry I just noticed that I had a couple of messages.

Alnwick is lovely, so is Bamburgh Castle athough I haven't been for a few years. I live right next to the centre of Newcastle. It is okay but I would love to eventually live in Northumberland.

  7. It's not often I give up on a book , I tend to see them through to the end even if I'm not that keen. The three I have given up on are in the past couple of years are: A Suitable Boy- Vikram Seth The Time Travellers Wife War and Peace - Tolstoy The think the size put me off with a couple of them and I just wasn't keen on the Time Travellers Wife. Would like to read war and Peace all the way through and will definitely try to tackle it someday!
  8. I've Just finished Esme Lennox and it was really good. Would definitely read some more of O Farrells novels.
  9. Tess of the Durbervilles is a brilliant classic. Rebecca by Daphne De Maurier is also brilliant.
  10. It is definitley one of those book sthat evrybody should read. My 13 year old son is currently reading my copy of it.
  11. I want to do my MA but am planning to do a PGCE next year.
  12. I have just finished doing my BA Hons in History so the books I have been reading this year have been History and academic books. As much as I love History, I am really looking forward now to getting loads of novels that have been on my bookcase read at last!
  13. Twilight- Stephanie Meyers The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova. Escape - Carolyn Jessop. Midnights Children- Salman Rushdie. The Handmaids Tale- Margaret Atwood. I Have always Lived in the Castle- Shirley Jackson How I Live Now- Meg Rossof Sick Notes - Gwendolin Riley. Our Hidden Lives: The Remarkable Diaries of Postwar Britain by Simon Garfield Don't Look Back - Lesley Pearse. The Magic Toyshop - Angela Carter. These are the ones I plan to read over the summer, does anybody have any recommendations on any particular ones? Thanks.
  14. Anna Karenina is brilliant, I have not read that for a lot of years, might read it again sometime.
  15. What are your top three classic books? I have found it difficult to narrow it down to three but my favourites are: Wuthering Heights- Emily Bronte. Tess of the Durbervilles- Thomas Hardy. Jane Eyre- Charlotte Bronte.
  16. My least favourite books are: The Harry Potter books . ( I know a lot of people love these so sorry if I offend!) Captain Corellis Mandolin. I just didn't like it and find it hugley overrated. Popcorn by Ben Elton. Hate Ben Elton novels and thought this one was awful!
