  1. I just remembered that one of my favorite books growing up was called the Headless Cupid. It was a scary ghost story, well it was scary back then () and it was one of the first chapter books that I can remember reading. I must have taken it out of the school library like 10 times. It was an awesome read.
  2. Thats okay, thats just more books for you to enjoy
  3. I don't care about the cover initially. I'm more interested in whats inside. However, if it was a good read and I want to add it to my permanent collection, then I will look for a nice cover/edition of the book
  4. Maybe you'll like the movie better
  5. This is worded perfectly. I couldn't have said it better myself. I am the same way. I keep a physical TBR pile and a wish-list of books that I want to buy.
  6. Thats good to know. I have had this for a while and I think I might just give it a try.
  7. LOL I love Strange Brew. It is one of my all-time favs. I am looking for it to, but I can never find it.

Yeah right now I am working on a criminal justice diploma. I have one semester left. Then I want to put in my application to the mounties. I hope it works out. I am working really hard.

  8. A hamburger, fries and an ice cold coca-cola Nothing will ever beat that!
  9. Slowly but surely the world will be in a maple syrup coma, and then we will make our move
  10. I would like to say that Gran Turino is one of the best films I have seen in years. Easily one of my all-time favs

  12. I agree with that. The book is so amazing!
  13. LOL I LOVE Bob and Doug! I have their 2-4 anniversary DVD too. They are so iconic for Canada :D

I should find a picture of them, but I love Dudley Do-Right. I am trying to join the RCMP and it gives me inspiration :D

  14. LOL I guess the books written by female authors never catch my attention. In my TBR pile only two books are written by females. That is very bad percentage I have no idea what it is. I need to get some good recommendations.
  15. LOL I know I get that all the time. My Dad's side of the family is VERY French. It is a family thing. I was born into it and had no other choice
  16. I think there is something wrong with me. I really didn't enjoy Salem's Lot. It really let me down
  17. I love discovering new authors. As someone else said in this thread, they all deserve a chance to "wow" us. It helps create variety in my reading. I normal go by the cover, title and blurb. If all that is a go, then so is the book. You don't know what you like and don't like, unless you try things.
  18. I think Dracula might be my next read. I hope I don't run into trouble with it.
  19. ^ ^ ^ Those are really cute
