  7. Finished 'Clan of the Cave Bear' this morning and was very sorry. I thoroughly enjoyed it - a real change from my usual genre. The book was full of detail and description with a poignant story of a true heroine. Why is it not a film I wonder? - could be a proper blockbuster don't you think? Moved on to the dreaded Penguin - 'The Spy Who Loved Me' by Ian Fleming - I don't even like the Bond films much - I did see this one though at the cinema with my mum eons ago

  15. I so agree with you - I have only been to Edinburgh when I was about 12 but having read this I really want to visit again and perhaps during the Festival. Can't wait for her next book. I haven't tackled 'Emotionally Weird' yet

  19. Yep - can't remember things quite soon after I have read a book - names go - the plot goes and I struggle to remember anything. Very frustrating

  22. wow must have read this 25 years ago - it was more like a history lesson but a good read - very fat book if I remember
