  1. fine thanks decided to join us again? I suppose I will have to ask you to be my friend now!!

  2. Helene was bland and more bland - I couldn't even recall her name easily last week. She sneaked through to the final without being noticed
  3. I was so sure Sralan was going to give it to Claire and quite shocked when the other bloke got it. Lee should have been let go last week after revealing he had fabricated stuff on his CV. It shows a lack of integrity even if he did have poor schooling.
  4. OH nabbed Middlesex just as I was about to pick it up - he keeps telling me how much I am going to enjoy it - says it's really good - grr!!
  5. Happy Birthday Emma - I posted 'In Search of Adam' today - :smile2:

  6. Very - as you will find out quite soon!
  7. As said by SG - Philip has every single book and several of those signed. He and his 'Cherub' mates meet up in various places over the country at book signings, sleepovers etc. Robert Muchamore makes himself accessible to them. It will be a good memory of his teens I think
  8. I'm pushing the boat out today with home made lasagne - anyone who doesn't eat it is in big trouble not pointing any fingers at fussy picky children
  9. Excellent review - I have this waiting to be read. Think I might save it for my holiday
  10. I really needed a good belly laugh tonight and that just did it thanks
  11. Finished Joanna Trollope quickly - will write review on the blog tomorrow - moved on to The Ingenious Edgar Jones tonight
  12. All very different to their false auditions - 'I'm so wonderful and nice and fun' ... not
  13. The screamer has to GO!
  14. Go see Sedgewick's site and see what is written there!

  15. I saw 'Wicked' for the third time last evening. It was the last night for 13 cast members including Kerry Ellis who plays Elphaba. They are off to Broadway for 6 months. Because of this it was a very special poignant show. The full house was mostly people who had been before. Every song was greeted with tremendous clamour and applause causing the cast to have to pause and acknowledge the audience. At the end was a speech and roaring standing ovation. We couldn't get near the stage door afterwards because of an enormous queue full of people with flowers for Kerry. She was truly fantastic.
  16. Same here
  17. Early Review books available - not a great choice but the Christianity book looks interesting.
  18. Hello and welcome!
  19. I'll be looking out for this
  20. He's a cross between Joey and Sylvester Stallone
  21. I've just read other readers reviews on LT - (I usually make a point of not reading others reviews until after I finish a book) and feel vindicated for stopping. So... At the library today, I went to return Tony Parsons and had no intention of picking up anything else and what do you know? Joanna Trollope's new book 'Friday Nights' was staring at me on the counter top. So I nabbed it and that's my next book.
  22. I am going to stop reading 'In Search of Adam' by Caroline Smailes. I have read 57 pages and it's too harrowing for me. I just sat down to read for an hour and I realised I could not pick it up again. The book is narrated from a 7 year old childs view and it is about sexual and child abuse. It's very bleak indeed. Happy to send it on to someone. It is well written just not for me.
  23. I'll be watching!
  24. Philip passed his singing exam - nly just!!

  25. I have writen a review of 'My Favourite Wife' - now in the reviews blog
