  1. Well I am speechless! Almost... What was the fuss about the painting? Rex apologised. Dale has just blotted his copy book as has the new bloke and Bex for that matter. Mario ticked a few boxes on the plus side. Dennis well out of order. As for Jennifer - she could have put a stop to all of it
  2. I read Whitethorn Woods when it first came out because I enjoyed some of MB's earlier books - I got a copy from the library - I finished it quickly - it was far from MB's best work - just a series of short stories cobbled together - very light reading and no depth.
  3. Eeek! Hasn't that dreadful girl Chanelle released a single too?
  4. oh sweet I salvaged my lasagne by making the white sauce with unsalted butter - turne out pretty good even if I say so myself
  5. Whilst adding salt to my bolognaise sauce the lid came off - I am not having a great day
  6. That is exactly what happens to us and can be a nightmare for the kids with homework sometimes - when you call up they deny any problem and say it's your system but then it all comes back on. I think they do that so you don't claim back from them. Karen do threaten to change and they will give you a month free!! But then you deserve it for the sheer inconvenience.
  7. Home made lasagne - it goes down well with everyone so I don't mind making an effort on this one - Delia recipe of course (not a cheat one) although I use non pre cook pasta
  8. Karen - I have Orange Broadband too - you have my sympathies - they are terrible
  9. And another what she said
  10. Of her face?
  11. No idea!
  12. Sylvia is playing up to the cameras!!
  13. good to hear - what are you reading?
  14. It is for those of us who like order and systems - ie control freaks!! I really like nosing around other peoples's libraries and say looking up people who like the same author and reading reviews
  15. I really enjoyed this quirky book. Edgar is a likeable, clever and resilient character. I can imagine this book as a dark Tim Burton film.
  16. Many Happy Returns - only a year behind me!!

  17. Finished Edgar Jones - yet to review. On to Jane Green - Second Chance
  18. My husband gave me 'The Oxford Book of Marriage' edited by Helge Rubinstein when we got married. It's a book of extracts of readings, sayings, poems and essays about marriage andmight be useful. There are copies at Amazon Marketplace or I expect the library could get it for you
  19. Hi Georgie - I have read 'My Sisters Keeper' - it keeps you glued!
  20. I haven't really thought about it - I don't think it is sexist - it's just a way of identifying male or female even though it may not be absolutely necessary
  21. Hello Bronwen - I see you are reading the new Marian Keyes - I have my eye on that one
  22. There is a new home page! Have a look and see what you think
  23. You are very welcome.
