Thanks for this Sue. At the library my colleague and I have just started reading Susan Hill - the wonderfully scary Woman in Black and were wondering about this detective series. I will see if I can get hold of the first one and give it a try.

Hi LovesReading - it's fiction. It came in to the library in the new books pile - thought it looked good so took it home - enjoying it so far. Has anyone read Once Upon a Time in England? That was one of the best reads for me this year.

Currently reading: Meanwhile Street by Miranda Glover It's early morning and Meanwhile Street thinks it's waking to a regular Wednesday in May. Dorian Gray - fantastic scenery/costume etc.

I love this story. Although records are great I do remember my mum always instructing us to 'dance carefully' so as not to make the needle jump - lol! Ooo real nostalga trip for me there - I love Blondie too and their songs remind me of my school days/early teens.

I enjoyed this so much I bought my mum a copy. Excellent read!

Is noise allowed? The TV or the children? I can read with the telly on but prefer it to be quiet. Indoors or out? Morning or Evening? I love reading on the decking but mainly read indoors. My best time is the morning - if I read in either the afternoon or evening then I nod off very quickly and easily! Do you read on sofa or do you prefer to snuggle in bed with a good read? My favourite place is either in bed (on waking) or in the corner of the corner settee in my conservatory. Is a cuppa close to hand? Do you feast while you read? I usually make a cup of tea - it's almost like a ritual. Does everything have to be just so? No just happy to grab any opportunity to read. So what's your reading habit? If I'm getting plenty of reading time then I like to aim to read about 50 pages a day - if I do that then it keeps me focused on making reading more of a priority, otherwise days can go by without me picking up a book.

Just started Meanwhile Street by Miranda Glover today - I'm about 70 pages in and it's good.

I'm married with two young sons and I've left my family behind in London to have an adventure in India.

I love to travel and experience new places but have to confess that I get nearly as much pleasure researching somewhere.

One of my favourite settings is the setting of Wuthering Heights - it's so atmospheric and I just want to be there when I read it. I also like books that are set in places I know - particularly Manchester.

Last film I saw was Final Destination 3D - really enjoyed it.

When I was 15 I had a school holiday baby sitting job for my parents' friends. They had two sons and I had to sit in the house so that they could go in and out without worrying about losing the key etc. I would spend the day watching telly and got into Take the High Road - I loved that soap!

In bed - in the morning, night time I'm out like a light, or in the conservatory on the corner settee.

I camp often with friends and once the tent is up I announce that I'm going to be Anne - I'm refering to Famous Five Anne and I say it as at that point I'm going into the tent to make it homely, put beds up, etc.
