  10. Hello and to the forum. Hope you'll enjoy.
  11. I'd agree with you there, Janet. I even didn't rate Johnny Depp's role as much in this
  12. Tells a good story, doesn't she? If it's okay, I wish to add one more writer to my list - Oscar Hijuelos.
  13. I confess to only ever having read *one* crime novel in my lifetime . That was Agatha Christie's Murder On The Orient Express read eons ago when I was a teenager! If it's of any help/interest to anyone, my favourite TV Detective is Ken Stott, though I can't remember what in
  14. Sure it is. PM me with where to send it and I'll sort it out.
  15. I *love* Charles Dicken's novels. Such adorable, charming and delightful diction. And his depiction is wonderful! He really brings his characters and happenings to life. I read a Christmas Carol every year. I have an old, prized - by me anyway hardback edition illustrated by Arthur Ransome. Other faves of mine are Oliver Twist and A Tale of Two Cities.
  16. I'd have to say Ann Tyler, Cormac McCarthy and TC Boyle.
  17. Ha! We don't have any room to convert into a library as we don't have any room to spare. (We live in a pocket hankie sized net loft). My OH is always thinking of ways for me to have a library though. He even talked about heightening the roof space in our miniscule ceiling loft . I'd give my eye teeth for a library especially one like the Beast shows Belle in Beauty and The Beast.<sigh> I imagine myself sliding around the shelves on those rolling ladders selecting what to read next. For now I own a heavily stacked and groaning four shelved wooden bookcase. And the floorboards sag and complain with what's leftover.
  18. No. Do I need to be on ANOTHER .com thingy?? I can't get off this one

My daughter knits a lot so I usually chat with her about it.

I love the look of the blanket you currently have on your avatar. Wonderful colours and beautiful looking yarn. Trish.

  22. I love Swimming With Sharks too - - the movie that is, not the creatures! I also love Benecio Del Torro and have lots of his movies. He's ace in The Usual Suspects.
  23. Hi Princess! Glad the nice man from bt fixed your computer. Do you still like Keanu Reeves? Trish, the Johnny Depp fan from way back.
