  1. Mushroom and Rosemary soup. We get wild mushrooms growing on our place in autumn and as thanks for letting a neighbour pick some, she gave us some of her soup. This is NOT a good combination , although I never had the heart to tell her I threw it away.
  2. Man I'm positively drooling after reading some of these ideas( lol not the bare bums tho' ) Chicken goes lovely with apricot, either a sauce or dried and red onions, lettuce, brie and walnuts.
  3. Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyers Blown Bulb (Twilight) Don't Look Now!!! (Eclipse) Pull Up Your Pants (New Moon) Dawnbreaker (Breaking Dawn)
  4. You have described this so beautifully Pontalba that I have reserved it right away at my library
  5. That's interesting infinity, I agree it's hard to differentiate between a spiritual experience or enlightenment and some sort of psychosis or manic episode. It could be argued it's the same thing.
  6. I've read a lot of books about various psychiatric illnesses but having a psychiatric illness does not mean you are mad. What is your definition of madness? Welcome To My Country (A Therapists Memoir of Madness) by Lauren Slater is an excellent book. The writing is almost lyrical and the author had suffered from a mental disorder which made her amazingly compassionate and accepting of the people she dealt with.
  7. Granted. But it spends all it's time stirring up your other pets and the neighbours ring noise abatement, complaining your place sounds like a zoo at feeding time. I wish I could draw
  8. Where Do You Go To My Lovely? ~ Peter Sarstedt
  9. practising sky-diving without the use of parachutes resulting in .......
  10. lol Pontalba, I bet we're thinking of the same one. Mitchell developed Melanie's character so well. She seems so weak and wishy washy at the start, but goes on to be an amazingly strong, courageous person in her quiet, gentle way. I love how she stands up to all the gossips too and defends the 'ladies of the night' and always loves Scarlett unconditionally. She's one of my favourite fictional heroines.
  11. Madman Across the Water by Elton John ....the extended version
  12. I think I've read them all, but it was a long time ago. I really enjoyed Galsworthy's writing and loved the TV series with Nyree Dawn Porter and Eric Porter (so old it was black and white)
  13. Where Do The Children Play? ~ Cat Stevens
  14. This so suits you Chrissy
  15. Can't believe they considered Joan Crawford and Bette Davis for the part ....their googly eyes always makes me think they had a thyroid problem. Katherine Hepburn would have been a strong enough character, although she doesn't quite fit and Susan Heyward possibly, but she probably wasn't feisty enough. Vivien Leigh was so right and I didn't ever realise she was English. Has anyone read the sequel 'Scarlett'? I wasn't at all impressed. I always thought Margaret Mitchell only wrote the one book but according to Wikipedia a manuscript of hers was found in the 1990's and was published in 1996 called 'Lost Laysen'.
  16. Your fairy is called Field Reedwitch She is a panpipe player and enchantment singer. She lives in fields where wild flowers and poppies grow. She is only seen in the enchanted moment between sleep and waking. She likes to wear red petals in her skirt. She has gentle green butterfly wings. Funny that it mentions poppies
  17. Titanic would go down in my top 10 over-hyped movies of all time. Nearly got put off Kate Winslet and Leonardo Dicaprio for life, but now think they are both very good actors. But I absolutely loved Avatar ....the imagery was amazingly beautiful.
