  1. Rachel's Cabaret song was excellent - finally the panel have noticed that she is good. Samantha was quite good, but I found Jodie a bit boring tonight (could have been the song she had). Jessie should go, I'm afraid. The others are much better than her.
  2. Sweet and kind. How could you be cruel to poor Tosh? Hmm, might have to agree with you here. Eww. No no no no no. Agreed. Arrogant, conceited, heartless, cruel. Quite good looking (before he discovered botox). Signed, A. Nutjob.
  3. I think I only spot really obvious things, so if I work something out it makes me slightly disappointed in the author's skill! The last thing I worked out (and fairly early too) was a major revelation in Trudi Canavan's Voice of the Gods trilogy. I was slightly pleased to be proved right, but it did spoil the books for me that I'd sussed it so soon.
  4. Yes, but that's because I saw it once and hated it so much I've never watched it again! Yes, you're right that they didn't mention the antibacterial element, which they should have done. But I still liked their advert the best! And I really don't know why Michael is still there. He really annoyed me last night: "All the good things are down to me, and all the bad things are Raef's fault"!! Unbelieveable!
  5. I don't have a recipe, but if anyone requires a taster I am willing to do this out of the goodness of my heart.
  6. Sralan is making some strange decisions. Raef was not brilliant, and I agree that he has been lucky to be on the winning team a lot without really doing anything, but I don't think he should have gone. However, Michael is useless and a liar. He should have gone last week and he certainly should have gone tonight. Is he blackmailing Sralan or something?! Incidentally, I don't agree on the advert with the kids on the bench not working because there wasn't a close-up on the product until the end. I can think of three very famous adverts off the top of my head that are the same: the drumming gorilla for Dairy Milk (though I do hate this ad!), the one with the horses in the sea for Guinness, and the new one with Brains dancing for Drench(?) water. The Guinness one has even won awards! So I don't agree with this argument. I thought this ad was much more professional and effective.
  7. Thanks Gyre. :) Whoever said moving is stressful is correct! Hope you feel better soon.:friends0:

  8. I read The Alchemist's Daughter, not so long ago (just to confuse things further)! It was very good.
  9. OK thanks Inver! Stressed about furniture deliveries at the moment, and bored at work. How are you?

  10. D'you hang it over the mantelpiece to keep the kids away from the fire? I like his programme but the guy is very creepy looking and I don't like to look at him!
  11. I saw him on Derren Brown's show! It was really good and David looked absolutely gorgeous. He seems to be such a nice bloke. I was really impressed by the end trick with the automatic writing.
  12. I really like these books, in fact the trilogy made my "top 5" list in the other thread. I think Sonea is a very down-to-earth, likeable character and the world she lives in is brought to life very well by Canavan. I agree with you Tinymoz about some moments in the stories being so tense you hold your breath! Did you know that Canavan is writing more books set in this world? I can't really remember much about what she said, but it's all there on her website.
  13. Are you including young adult books? If so, I'll add Warriors of Camlann and Warriors of Alavna by N.M. Browne to your list.
  14. It was like a Poirot episode for juveniles with added silliness, but mildly entertaining. I did like Donna trying to secure the copyright for some of Christie's as yet unwritten books! Also her reaction to being called "the plucky young girl who helps me out"!
  15. At last, a sensible decision and Niamh finally got the boot! I think I would like Jessie to go next. Jodie, Samantha and Rachel were all very good tonight. Jodie has grown on me, as I've never really liked her much but I'm starting to.
  16. Probably some of the best ones will, I think. That often happens, doesn't it, like it did with the Josephs.
  17. Ooh yes, an episode set in a library - it was made for us! Yes, I think "silly" is a good word for tonight's episode.
  18. I don't really know what to say about that. I think it defies description! Agatha Christie and a giant wasp?! Hmm... I can't decide whether it worked or not. Downright bizarre.
  19. I didn't like Niamh or Samantha's singing tonight and I hope it's them in the sing off. It might be Niamh, but it certainly won't be Samantha, as she's the one the panel love. I thought her singing was under par tonight - she couldn't sing the low notes in her song and just "talked" them instead. I thought Jodie and Rachel were good tonight, and I don't even like Jodie much! Which Nancy sang "I Will Always Love You?" tonight? Because that is one of my most loathed songs ever, I always have to turn the radio off if that song comes on, but whoever sang it made it much less horrible than usual. Barry Humphries is still a sleazeball, drooling over Samantha. *shudder*
  20. Hiya Poppy! Of course I do, lol! :D Sorry my profile is so boring though - I'll get around to customising it sometime this year!

  21. The only one of those four I wouldn't re-read is From a Buick 8; the rest were great, particularly IT.
  22. Thanks lovesreading.
  23. Can we do all the smilies on the profile messages? Because I usually use or and I can't see the smilie menu. Do you have to know the symbols and type them in? (I did put in a because it's a simple one that I know, but I didn't want to muck up Angel's messages!) Sorry if I've completely missed it and it's staring me in the face.
  24. Re this week's firing - I wouldn't have minded any of the three going (or even all of them!). Sara was pretty poor in the task, but I always felt sorry for her because she was bullied. I think I would have slightly preferred Michael to go, as he's a lying, weasly scumbag in my opinion. How pathetic was he last night? "I don't want to beg, Sir Alan, but..." Cue begging! And Sralan fell for it. I hated Raef the first week, but warmed to him when he stood up for Sara when Lee and Alex were being vile to her a couple of weeks ago. However, I think he was lucky last night to be on the winning team, because I can't think of one useful thing he did - all he did was dress up as a giant bear and frighten the kiddies! I think if he'd been on the losing team he might have gone.
  25. Mia

    Happy Anniversary Angel! :)
