  1. I'm so pleased Philip finally got fired! He was absolutely vile to Lorraine, and has been for many weeks. I think he did deliberately not try to get any sales, hoping Lorraine would get the boot as the project manager. I'm glad it backfired! He was too busy flirting with Kate to do any work. Lorraine can be annoying, but I felt sorry for her because of Philip's treatment of her. She was a bit narky with Yasmina over the presentation and I think she thinks she is better than she is (but then again, they all do!). I do think Lorraine will be fired next week, because Sralan obviously doesn't like her. In fact, at one point last night I thought he was going to fire her for "alienating people". Mona did very well with her negotiating.
  2. I agree, I hated Callum at first but his relationship with Toadie is a bit of a laugh and he's not quite as bad a brat as he used to be!
  3. Ooh, I don't know, but it should be good! Perhaps (I wish someone would. He's a right evil isn't he? I did think he would do something to ruin that Locksley couple's wedding day, but nothing as bad as what he did do. I actually thought that was quite horrific for what could be seen as a "children's" series.)
  4. Yes, I'm not sure about her either, and whether she can be trusted. I think she's obviously going to get together with Robin, and perhaps
  5. LOL! I sit there going, "X is obviously going to get together with Y" and "That car's bound to crash" and nine times out of ten I get it right! I'm not very imaginative, so Neighbours must be so predictable! So, which characters would you get rid of if you could? I'd get rid of the whole Parker family, they annoy me so much.
  6. Happy Birthday! :balloons:

  7. Tonight's episode was a lot better, thank goodness. I enjoyed the fights between Gisburne and the sheriff, but they should have joined forces and killed Prince John instead. I was so pleased that
  8. Yes, I had a tear in my eye too, even though Harold is not even one of my favourite characters! I guessed that Lou would be hidden in the mobile home. I'm already sick of Zeke being a sullen little brat. I know he's been through a lot, so I should be more understanding, but does that kid ever smile? That storyline seems kind of weird - as far as I can tell, he hasn't been told that Susan and Karl aren't his real parents, that his real parents are dead, or that he has a sister called Katya. And you can guarantee that his first memory will be the time Karl chose to go to Libby instead of him in the collapsing warehouse! And don't get me started (again) on Bridget.
  9. Gah! That's a bit demoralising considering I've got loads of books I was going to try and get rid of at a car boot sale, and my Pratchett books definitely won't be going!! Oh well, I guess I've saved myself from having to get up at 5am.
  10. I've read The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, and thought it was excellent. A very good book I'd recommend to anyone who's looking for something a bit different in the fantasy genre. I've also read Airman. I didn't know what to expect with this one, though I've read Colfer's Artemis Fowl books. It is very different to them, much more serious and hard-hitting (though it still has flashes of the Colfer humour). It was also very good, though I enjoyed Patrick Ness's book more.
  11. I wanted Phillip to go for his treatment of Lorraine, but unfortunately their team won!! I didn't mind Noorul going as he should have gone weeks ago but he'd luckily avoided it.
  12. Sue Townsend's Adrian Mole books are superb! I'm currently re-reading the whole series (I'm up to The Cappuccino Years). I loved The Queen and I too. Absolutely hilarious, brilliant satire, with a lot of serious comment lurking just below the surface, but it's never preachy. Great stuff. The only one of Townsend's I've read that I was a bit disappointed with was Number 10.
  13. Did anyone see this weekend's episode? I've never seen anything so unintentionally hilarious for a long time - it was pathetic. The best (worst) bit was Guy's secret weapon to kill Robin - a lion so elderly and arthritic that it could barely get out its box! Once it managed to stumble out, it merely stood there and looked on the point of collapse instead of attacking anyone. The whole episode was dire, with a bizarre plotline that just didn't make sense. When the "elite" guards were herding Robin and his men towards the lion, why didn't they just pick them off with bows and arrows, which would have been much easier? Or is it only Robin that knows how to use a bow? I know this isn't a series to be taken seriously, but after a few relatively decent episodes I didn't expect it to descend to quite this level of banality. Even Guy returning couldn't save it.
  14. Definitely worth watching! I thought it was very good. Like that narrows it down?! I saw a pic of him in today's paper, so I know the one you mean now. He is full of himself, which is a trait that Sralan seems to admire.
  15. That's all right Janet, it was my choice to look at the spoiler! I avoid spoilers for things like Lost and Heroes, but anything else... I usually read in my TV guide what's going to happen in each episode anyway! (Monday's said About time too!

  17. I've had a memory wipe... I'm trying to picture which one is Ben.
  18. Hmm Lucybird, that's interesting! You're right,
  19. Happy Birthday! :balloons:

  20. I don't think he did! I can't quite decide if he actually doesn't speak or do anything, or if it's just the way the programme is edited that makes it look that way. Although Nick has said in the past that he doesn't do anything! Oh yes, I forgot to say another thing I disliked about Phillip: the nasty way he sneered at Lorraine's idea as if it was so bad, but he thought his own pants idea was truly brilliant! I can't stand him.
  21. Janet, I resisted the spoiler for about 0.3 seconds! OK, now you've got me wondering

  23. I think the bloke (Phillip?) should have gone. Sralan actually said to him that your team lost the task because the Pantsman idea was ****, and it was your idea! So why not sack him then? I'll tell you why - fire one that isn't male. I thought the other team's idea was excellent! Well done to the guy who likened the cereal to treasure and then took it from there. It was really creative. And yes, I'm still waiting for Noorul to do something too!
  24. Oh yes, Dee! I'd forgotten about her. She might well come back, probably just when Toadie has found happiness with someone else! He was a fool to upset Kelly and let her go - I didn't like her at first, but I warmed to her and I thought everyone treated her badly when she said she knew Zeke was alive. I love the relationship between Lucas and Elle, it's so funny. It's kind of like a Mills and Boon thing where they hate each other and then spar a lot before getting together in the end. Not that I read Mills and Boon, of course... *ahem* Mia's Predictions No 2: Libby will ask Steff to be a surrogate for her! Actually, I can't remember if Steff is able to have any more babies or not, but this idea just came into my head today when they made friends.
