Yes BB I have read quite a few. I maybe took too long to read it, sometimes I do that with books if my mojo has gone walk about.

Well I have given up on a book I stated months ago..! Oystercatchers by Susan Fletcher....just wasn't enjoying how it was written. I am now getting back to reading another I started on my holidays....The Villa in Italy by Elizabeth Edmondson...hope that goes better....mojo is a bit intermittent at the moment.

Seen recently..... The Hundred Foot Journey.....lovely easy watch. Magic in the Moonlight.....went to see this yesterday with a couple of friends and on occasions we were dropping off...not an enthralling watch, but Colin Firth was good.

'Mercy' by Jodi Picoult Review Here I found this Jodi Picoult a bit disappointing.....took me a while to read it possibly why.

Hoorah....I finished a book... Glad to get to the end of this one....'Mercy' by Jodi Picoult...disappointing read to be honest.

'Mercy' by Jodi Picoult Well it has taken me some time to read this one and to be honest it was disappointing. It started off quite well with the main story being Jamie and confessing to killing his wife. This set the plot or so I thought, but for me it turned out more about the relationship between Cam and Allie. I doubt this one will stay with me at all I'm afraid. I did have to continue to the end in order to find out the conclusion of Jamie and his court case but I even found that a bit predictable. Not one I would be recommending as a must read I have to say. 2/5

Well I wish I could say I have 'finished' a book....but if you scroll back to page 2 I'm still reading the same ones.. Just don't seem to be reading very fast at the moment...maybe I need to read some picture books...

I've gotten quite a lot from on here and Goodreads, sometimes in magazines and just a good old rummage in book shops.

Just been to see the film and enjoyed it.

Well that was good.... I wanted to see 'Before I Go to Sleep'.....dragged hubby along too and we both enjoyed it. I have read the book and the film is pretty much the story.

So a good result without a game, well done...

Disappointing day today....two defeats. Well not totally unexpected by Glendale given their recent record.....went down 5-0 today...! U'17's had a Scottish Cup tie, but they just weren't the team of the last 3 games gone.....lost 6-1. But Andy says, put it behind you and just concentrate of getting back to the league games and getting more points. How was your Saturday today. Oh and the Scottish Women's footie team had a great 9-0 win over Faroe Islands tonight in their qualifying sections for World Cup. Lying second in their table with the next game v Sweden who are top, if they can do something against them in with a chance of topping the table with a better goal difference...fingers crossed.

On a winning streak at the moment aren't we....well done.

Looks like U'17's have a Scottish Cup tie against on of the other teams in their league. Haven't played them yet so will be interesting to see how they get on. I suspect Andy won't be playing again this weekend. 8-1....oh my....you could do with more scores like that this season Sedge.

Sounds like you were unlucky there Sedge. Mixed results today.....Andy not playing for Glendale again today, with his U'17's. It was local derby again the other Culter team. 2-1 down at half time, and they came back to win 5-2.....definitely a game of 2 halves....first they were playing a lot in the in and hoofing it, but once they settled down into the second half and started passing it about the goals came. Their first 2 admittedly were penalties, but they all count....so Andy is well chuffed....3 wins in a row... Glendale on the other hand were 3-2 up at HT and then were binned 8 -3...!

I wondered where I had gone....took a while to find it...

And another month has come and gone and here we are in September...! My reading mojo has been a bit of a slow page turning again, however I am about half way with 'Mercy' by Jodi Picoult and making slow progress (only because I am reading 2 books at once) with 'The Villa in Italy' by Elizabeth Edmondson. Kenny gave me a book for my birthday too from my wishlist. 'Peaches for Monsieur le Cure' by Joanne Harris. Happy reading everyone....
