Started reading 'Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe' by Jenny Colgan...nice easy read...just what I need.

And another weekend washed out....no footie for 4wks now...will be lucky to get a game in before Christmas break at this rate..!

Bookmarks I have made in the past These two were for friends. This one was for a stitch-along-bookmark Kell did one here. I use this one quite often as it is nice and flat.

Do you have a favourite book mark Athena. I have few I seem to go back to using often and are rather worn. I always choose another bookmark with a new read to try and give them all a turn...

I was told to watch The Fall by a friend who has been hooked on this Dex. Something I hadn't watched the first series of, but I started watching it on iPlayer too and am totally up to date with it....can't wait for tomorrow night and watch it properly on the telly. It has been very good.

Well last nights was slightly better, but have to say still confusing...!

Good it is a home game...hope you get lots of support.....extra training sessions are a must then...!

A friend told me about The Fall so I have been iPlayering the first series....it is a bit good.

Finished 'The Christmas Wedding' and received in the post today 'Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe' ~ Jenny Colgan, with a swap via RISI. Hope this one makes the 'Christmassy' feeling better that the book I have just finished.

Not footie report again this weekend....Glendale and U'17's games off due to soggy pitches.

'The Christmas Wedding' by James Patterson & Richard Dilallo Review Here Quick, not very taxing read, but at least it mentioned Christmas in the title.

'The Christmas Wedding' by James Patterson & Richard Dilallo Quick read. Simple story line. Gaby is getting married again. Her husband died three years ago and since then she and her four children have drifted apart. No Christmas has been celebrated together since Peter's death. But Gaby has announced she is getting married, but there is a catch....she won't announce to who until the day of the wedding on Christmas day and she has been proposed to 3 times (yeh and who does that happen to...!)Everyone must be there...no excuses. The kids characters were OK'ish, but I have to say Gaby did annoy me. I know it was all about her and the wedding, but please....there was just too much me, me, me. It was all just a bit too 'perfect'. I didn't think it was particularly well written and given James Patterson other genre of writing, why would he write something like this....! Just be thankful if you do decide to read it that it doesn't take long...! 1.5/5

Just been to see The Imitation Game and well worth going to see....even with Keira Knightley...!

I have to say I found this weeks episode very slow and not much happened...hope if picks up a bit next week.

Nice when you have games in hand to catch up again.

Nothing to report today.....both games off due to waterlogged pitches, not surprising given the horrid weather this week. On a happy note though....great win for Scotland last night...

U'17's game was cancelled this morning....soggy pitch. Andy went to watch Glendale...took kit with him, but he wasn't expecting to get to play....they actually won today too...3-1....he said they were still playing rubbish though....

When do you play that, is it this weekend. U'17's have an away game hopefully tomorrow....depends on pitch inspection, been pretty wet past couple of day. If they win they are a point of the leaders with a game in hand...!
