I get this feeling a lot. Perhaps the most 'mournful' end to a book was either Waves by Sharon Dogar, which I was hooked on; or I, Coriander by Sally Gardner.

I liked The Lady In The Tower, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Murder Most Royal for some reason. Maybe it could be because of the first-person, third-person thing. But now I don't know what to read. I might read Redwulf's Curse (forgot who it's by:blush:) now.
