  12. Ok so here's an author who's books I stumbled across by accident, but don't they just look good They look and sound like thrillers, with gripping storylines. I now have 3 of her books sat on my shelf waiting to be read. Has anyone else here read them? Which were good, which weren't?
  13. PMSL Oh god now I'm sat here giggling like an idiot and my kids are looking at me like I'm from the planet Ming

  18. It was a great triology wasn't it Leah? Three Fates, I forgot to mention that one
  19. Maybe you should try a few other Nora books first, that way you can get used to her writing before you try it again. Its weird just how different her books are from one pen name to another. Her J D Robb books are far more gritty and dark compared to her NR stories. There have been 2 books of hers that I couldn't finish and they were both part of triologies. The books weren't boring as much, but the main characters drove me mad and if I loathe the main character then its rare that I finish the book.
  20. Welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. I have enjoyed lots of her books, some of them have been quite good thrillers. She has also written a few tiologies as well that I enjoyed. THREE SISTERS TRILOGY Dance Upon the Air (2001), Heaven and Earth (2001), Face the Fire (2002) These are about 3 witches and they are great books, each interlinking with the others so need to be read in order. Midnight Bayou, Blue Smoke, Birthright, Northern Lights, and Remember When were all good books. I think years ago she wrote mainly romance books, but lately her books have more of a thriller feel to them and the ones I just mentioned were the ones that stuck out in my mind. I did love The Chesapeake Bay series as well, not quite sure what genre that falls into though
  21. My husband loves reading, Terry Pratchett is his favourite author and he has read all of his books to date. However I am the biggest reader, purely because what he reads in a year, I do in less than a month
  22. Cool, thanks Kell
  23. Exactly, I tried swapping it, but didn't have enough books on my swap list so they didn't accept lol.
  24. Delia's way & the real woman's way. Delia's Way Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips. The Real Woman's Way Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for God's sake. You are probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it anyway. Delia's Way To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes. The Real Woman's Way Buy Smash and keep it in the cupboard for up to a year. Delia's Way When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking tin, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake. The Real Woman's Way Tescos' sell cakes. They even do decorated versions. Delia's Way If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a potato slice. The Real Woman's Way If you over salt a dish while you are cooking, that's tough sh*t. Please recite with me the Real Woman's motto: "I made it and you will eat it and I don't care how bad it tastes." Delia's Way Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks. The Real Woman's Way It could keep forever. Who eats it? Delia's Way Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away. The Real Woman's Way Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and drop it in 8 ounces of vodka. Drink the vodka. You might still have the headache, but you wont give a sh*t? Delia's Way If you have a problem opening jars, try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy. The Real Woman's Way Why do I have a man? and finally the most important tip Delia's Way Freeze leftover wine into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces. The Real Woman's Way Leftover wine???? Hello!!!!!
