I have this on my shelf to be read and look forward to getting to it soon

Can't wait to hear what you think of them
-
Hi Tracey, I think you'll enjoy her work, she certainly seems to be popular
-
I love Linda Fairstien, she's one of my top 10 authors. Her books are similar in formula to Kathy Reichs and Patricia Cornwell, except she deals with Sex Crimes instead of forensics. She has the same 3 main characters throughout all her books, so really should ideally be read in order, but you don't have to, its just you get to see how they develop and interact with each other, if that makes sense. The order is: Final Jeopardy Likely To Die Cold Hit The Deadhouse The Bonevault The Kills Entombed Death Dance So Tracey you have numbers 3 and 7 out of her series Here's the link to her website http://www.lindafairstein.com/

I've read The Surgeon and In Their Footsteps and now have Gravity, Harvest, The Apprentice, The Sinner, Body Double, Life Support and one other on my shelf to read I do like the way she writes

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

I think that despte best intentions, no one could be truly rational or objective when making a decision like this. Although you would want to make the right one, because of the effects, someone will always technically lose. I was very pleased with the outcome, because although she was only 13, I feel she was old enough to make this kind of decision for herself, afterall it was major surgery that would effect the way she lived after.obviously not everyone at that age would be able to make those decisions sensibly, but I felt that Anna was. I think I critcized her throughout the whole book, as a mother of 3 children myself, spookliy they have the same age gap that Sara's kids had between them, I felt that she lived too much for Kate than was right. Not only was she neglecting her other 2 children but she, by her own actions, started up a small resentment bewteen the siblings. I guess its easy enough to moan about her whilst my 3 are fine and healthy but I honestly do not think I could play around witht he health of one of my children to save the life of another. At least not in the way she did. In my opinion it shows that she believes she has almost sacrificed her life in having her children, but I think thats a wrong way to think. You don't have children without knowing that some things in your life will change dramatically, I go without so much too, so that I can be a good mother but I don't see it as a sacrifice afterall I wanted children and I knew what being a mother meant. It actually made me angry at her for believing she is a martyr, how egotistical is that? When you have an illness or disability, I think that making jokes about it is a way of coping and letting people know that you don't need, or want pity. Campbell was a brilliant character, and I think that his way of hiding it was due to the fact that he didn't want to be treated differently. In his mind if someone leaves him its because he's arrogant not because they can't handle his fits. -
It was a great book, definitely popular with teenage girls

LOL yes!! We had a boy named Ralph in my sisters year, and what was even more funny was that his middle name was William, oh the giggles we had over that. He used to wonder why calling him Ralph Willy set us off
-
Yes she was, I especially loved Forever, it certainly was the most talked about of her books when I was in school

As a child I absolutely adored 'The Worst Witch' series by Jill Murphey, I must have read them over and over and in fact I think one of my first online user names was Mildred Hubble I also adored a ghost story I read, I can't remember what it was called, only that I loved it Other big hits for me were; Wind In The Willows, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Famous Five, and books by Judy Blume Although I have most of the Harry Potter books I have yet to read them, but I will and will also give Eoin Colfer a try, his new book looks good for a quick read

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

I think it is different if your children are already born for them to help than say to actually have a designer baby just to help the other one. -
Really can't wait to get it
-
Thanks jake, am going to see which one grabs at me
-
Bet you do. Its like an addiction, you always need one last fix LOLOLOLOL
-
I enjoyed her first book alot
-
Thats what I liked about Vanishing Acts that she wrote, you got the story from all the people involved which made their actions easier to understand. Will hopefully start this one later on.
-
So whats a good book to start with of Mr Kellermans?
-
Here's the blurb for it: "What would you do for someone you love? Would you lie? Would you leave? Would you kill? These are just some of the questions confronting the characters in Mercy, which follows the path of two cousins driven to extremes by the power of love. Woven tight with passion and a fast-paced plot, Mercy explores some of today's most highly charged emotional and ethical issues as it draws toward its stunning conclusion. When you love someone, where do you cross the line of moral obligation? And how can you commonly define love and devotion to begin with? Long after you have turned the last page, you'll still be thinking about this rich novel, as well as questioning your own beliefs about love and loyalty." Sounds good to me
-
Its annoying isn't it, hopefully they'll over here soon though
-
I liked Jack & The Beanstalk too Kell
-
The one I want to read alot is Mercy, have you read that one yet? I've only read Vanishing Acts so far, but have Salem Falls, The Pact and My Sisters Keeper sat on my shelf waiting to be read.
