  1. I think it is an Indian name. I thought it had a cool premise, and although there were some inconsistencies in it, it was a decent read. John Twelve Hawkes lives off the grid !?!?!
  2. I'm the same way I have to read a little every night b4 I go to sleep. Hopefully it is a boring book!!!!
  3. I just read his new book The Traveler and really enjoyed it. A must read for any of you Sci-Fi conspiracy theory book lovers. Now I must go to sleep. Stayed up till 3:30 am to finish it last night and had to work today. why do I do that to myself?
  4. One of the books that made a big impression on me at the time was A Wrinkle In Time by Madeline Engle. I read this in elementary school basically because I had to do it for reading points. After reading the book I found that reading was not a chore but could be fun and I havent stopped. I dont remember much about the book but if I could find a copy I think it may be worth a re-read.
  5. See I didnt think that was funny at all!!! LOL j/k Darn no spell checker on this forum.
  6. I cant seem to find Pratchett here in the states. Seems to be most of the ones on EBAY are UK versions and I dont think I want to pay the shipping. I think the bookstore here will be able to order some of them though. Dont know if Ill be able to understand the English humor though, may have to get Stuart to translate to American!!! lol
  7. lol they pack all that into a country smaller than Kansas?
  8. Sounds like another good series to try... Im getting all kinds of good ideas here
  9. I also enjoyed the Harry Potter books. By the 5th book I was getting kind of tired of Voldemort (oops did i say that) and think they should have killed him off by 3rd or 4th book. Then Harry could have moved on to some other types of adventures. I really enjoy the world that Rowling has created here. Very imaginative!!!
