  1. Kathy Reichs' Cross Bones. Had this book for ages, and been meaning to read it for a long time, but always manage to get something more 'urgent' on my tbr pile. Good story.
  2. Finished all the HP series. I'm really glad I finally decided to give these a try, firstly because they are a great read, and secondly because they got my son interested, and he is currently on book 6. Would recommend!
  3. I'm sure I had a couple of books by Deidre Purcell, but I cannot find them anywhere. Must have been sent to the SPCA when I had a clean out a couple of years ago....
  4. Kinder bueno
  5. A Maltese traditional dish - Bragioli. It is made of a slice of beef containing hard boiled eggs, parsley, bacon, and mozzarella then rolled up and secured with toothpicks and popped in gravy in the oven. Served with mashed potatoes and salad, and crusty bread to mop up the gravy. NO Leftovers.
  6. And if you put them, one on top each other, that will give you around half a metre of Harry Potter! One nice doorstep(or coach step) there!!
  7. That's nice! Well done you!

  8. Hey, How nice of you! Thanks for the Hello, you made me smile this morning! :) That bookmark looks lovely - very original.

  9. Looking forwards to this - it certainly ended with a cliffhanger of an episode!
  10. That's one of the best ways to spend a birthday!

  11. Well, you certainly exercised last weekend! The Yorkshire Pudding Club sounds like a nice fun read - and the cover matches the synopsis, if you know what I mean. Might borrow that
  12. I love dark choc!
  13. Just had toast and coffee. Now have a Lindor melting in my mouth.
  14. As Dolphingirl has said, the books have nothing whatsoever to do with the series. Both should be enjoyed seperately.
  15. http://www.reuters.com/article/lifestyleMolt/idUSTRE60539620100106 LOL
  16. I'm in! Will use serieses. (meaning lots of them ) It's very practical after all!
  17. You're right. The plural of series is series.
  18. I love serieses (is that a word? lol). I just love it that I know the characters and loads of background.
  19. Hey - did not know you do resolutions! How many do you reckon you'll have on the Read pile at year end?
  20. That's what I did too. Then after a few years I recommended them to my friend, who loved them, but when we started to talk about them I found that they had all blended into one tale in my mind. True for me too, unfortunately. That's why when reading Big Over Easy I read all I could about Nursery Rhymes!
  21. Happy Birthday :balloons::)

  22. Ok, need to update this. Have since read Harry Potter 3 and 4. Both fab! HAve just started on HP and the order of the Phoenix.
  23. Hey Charm, Happy New Year to you too, :balloons:, hope it is full of joy, health and happiness!! XX

  24. I am so pleased with myself today - I just made a batch of Chinese Wantons!! (not difficult to make) I also made some chinese fried rice, and chicken with pine nuts too. Home - made Chinese today (and some ready made spring rolls). Time consuming, but worth the effort, once in a while:)
