  1. I'm a practice nurse, so I've not only given loads, but have had one myself.. and I do so every year. For at-risk groups it's quite important, but for someone young and generally healthy not so much so. But, if you're interested, and happy to pay, it might stop you feeling rough and having time off work.
  2. Please read our rules about promotional posts.

  3. I spotted this the other day, but the reviews are SO mixed on amazon, I'm not sure whether to try it or not.
  4. I hope you continue to feel better - colds make you feel miserable!

I'm ok.. really busy as always, and also trying to support a friend going through a very tough time.

  5. Is your cold any better today?

  6. I'm glad you're enjoying it - it is a great book, and the author is lovely too!

  7. Claudia, can I ask why you're asking this sort of question.. is it a general query, or some sort of homework help?
  8. The reviews I quickly read looked like fiction.. I'll move it later to the non-fiction section. And don't worry, we often move things if we think they're best suited elsewhere.
  9. Apart, of course,
  10. Hmm... I'm still not exactly sure. I'm not very keen on taking a true life person, and writing fiction around them. If the story had been totally fictitious, it was make a good story - but I'm not keen on the way Crippen is portrayed. But then again, it's encouraged me to go and research more about the actual case, and facts.
  11. Yep, they have been rather lovely. I've finished Crippen, but I need to sit and find time to do the review!
  12. Hi - I've moved your query to our 'Has anyone read?' thread.

  13. How about Cuckoo by Julia Crouch? Have a search, my review should be around somewhere.
  14. Sorry, I was using my phone, and not paying enough attention to the spell check! My order would probably be: The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox After You'd Gone The Hand That First Held Mine The Distance Between Us My Lover's Lover
  15. CD, I'm a huge fan of Maggie O'Farrell, but I don't think I'd class her as chick lit. Have you read any of her others? I actually put My Lover's Lover at the bottom of the list.
  16. My 2rd choice was The Obscure Logic of the Heart by Priva Basil but unfortunately I just couldn't get into it. I wrote to the lovely Lynsey, and she was happy yo send me 4th choice, Crippen. Thankfully that's gotten off to a much better start!
  17. Hi - I'm afraid we don't allow new members to join purely to promote. We've tried various approaches, and it's always abused, so we're being very strict at the moment.

  18. Hi - if a new member posts only about a new book, it's taken to be promotional. Yours have therefore been removed. Thanks

  19. Hi - can you keep to one main Member's Thread please - thanks :)

  20. Oh my.. a touchscreen, and cheaper!? I wish I hadn't rushed to get our second one a while ago!
  21. You might like to try Bill Hussey, who has a few fans on here. http://www.bookclubforum.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/4247-bill-hussey/
  22. I've just realised I didn't add my review of Through a Glass, Darkly...
  23. The Help is really good as audio, they use 3 different narrators.
  24. VF, Linda is a rare breed - she comes along to the forum to actually take part, rather than trying to simply advertise.
