  1. Hi and welcome, Trevor Good luck on your first novel
  2. Oh no I would never get rid of a book I enjoyed! That's blasphemy! There are so many books I haven't read that I want to, so rereading wouldn't be high on my priorities but there are a few I loved so much I would love to go back to the story and the characters
  3. The books I would love to read again. Even if it was to have never read them because of how much I loved them orginially and experience them as new all over again. Rebecca Wuthering Heights Far From The Madding Crowd Twenties Girl Frankenstein
  4. Has anybody read Danielle Steel before? I am reading Sisters at the moment. I am on chapter six and she has managed to tell me the same things she told me in previous chapters about the girls (I think in case I the reader forgets) over and over again. Are all her books like this?
  5. Ugh! I know what you mean. Everybody everywhere seems to have kind of cold virus or another. Good luck with the work. Hope everything turns out well and I am sure it will!
  6. How beautiful! I do hope it gets easier for you.
  7. thank you, Poppy No it wasn't what I was thinking of haha. I haven't seen that film. The one I saw that I was thinking of was from last year with Diane Keaton and John Goodman. Completely unrelated.
  8. Congratulations to your brother. How lovely Hope everybody has a great weekend! Out for birthday celebrations for my Gran's birthday tomorrow and baking my sister'a husband a cake for his birthday on Sunday.
  9. Was that made into a film? I am sure I've seen it but I'm not sure I am thinking of the right one. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea~ Jules Verne
  10. I love Cary Grant he is one of my all time favourites.
  11. Sorry to hear about your dog too, Anna. May I ask what breed he was? I have had a good reading month so far. I have read 5 books with only one 1 star rating. Which is actually above average for me. My favourite so far has been A Study In Scarlet.
  12. Sounds really good, onion budgie, keep up the good work! Seems you're doing a fantastic job! With you becoming vegetarian would you still eat fish? I have started going swimming and I am enjoying it and cutting down on the unnecessary snacks i.e. Crisps and chocolate.
  13. Yes. Well I am trying at least There is just so many books I have on my book shelf I haven't read and some of those are over ten years old.
  14. I have read two novels by Jane Austen and did not like either of them. I loved all the Charles Dickens but then I have only read four. I love the classics but I do think they can be intimidating.
  15. I do not know if we are going with fictional characters only. However, I fell in love with Richard Woodville when I read The Lady Of The Rivers. He was not the main character but had a huge role all the same. I did not know much about this man before I read the book. Other than he was the maternal great grandfather of Henry VIII.
  16. Bloody love Sherlock! But I like Dr Watson more. Bridget Jones Louisa Clark (Me Before You) Libby Lomax (A Night In With...) Louis Creed (Pet Sematary) Gabriel Oak (Far From The Madding Crowd) There are more but will mean a lot more thinking.
  17. I'm glad you are enjoying Spectacles, Andrea. I have that to read. I love Sue Perkins.
  18. I would be happy with non English titles been used if it helps with the game. Attachments ~ Rainbow Rowell
  19. I think the way it was done out of chronological order was on purpose. I am really looking forward to reading this! I love that girl!
