  1. Ugh she's an annoying so and so. I agree about Harry!
  2. *I want to read more books that I have a physical copy of. *I want to read a couple new to me authors in particular Katie Fford. * I want to complete the Chronicles of Narnia. * I want to read the books I received as Christmas/ birthday gifts * I want (hope) to read at least one book per month that I can give a solid 5☆ to.
  3. I have just finished War Horse. Superb! Just started We Have Always Lived In The Castle. I have a little idea of what this book is about. I have read The Lottery by the same author and thinking about that now really creeps me out. So if this one does the same I do think I will like it.
  4. Congratulations on your anniversary About the world cup it didn't seem advertised all that much but I see people getting into it more so now. I am not really watching it but I will be supporting my country all the way.

    Hello!

    Hello and welcome
  6. Hope you are feeling better very soon. I am going to a family friend wedding tomorrow and the venue is only a 5 minute drive from my parents house, so my brother and his partner are up and my sister and husband will be over for tea tonight, so my dad will be over the moon.
  7. Oh I have seen some of Sam’s videos on booktube I have this thing about only been able to read light reads when I am away on holiday. Books by the likes of Sophie Kinsella, Ali McNamara or Jill Mansall or similar authors. They are usually fun, easy to let your mind wander and not have to think too much. There is also something about these type of books especially those that include recipes that are great for this time of year! It is Father’s Day here too in the UK! Or at least England! Will have to think of this too.
  8. Mrs Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
  9. When a book is turned into a film and they have to change a whole part of the storyline because it is always set in the USA. For example Holly from Ps I Love You is Irish but for the film she is American. Becky from Shopaholic Series is English but for the film she is American.
  10. All The Ugly & Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood
  11. Just finished Prince Caspian, the fourth book in the Chronicles Of Narnia series by C S Lewis. I do claim that young adult, fantasy and adventure books are amongst my least favourite genres, but I always love these so much. I was on the verge between a 4 and 5 star but the ending, whether it was meant to be taken as such, I don’t know, I found so comical it went to a serious 5 star! My 6th Of the year so far!
  12. I have just finished Eleanor of Aquitaine: By The Wrath Of God Queen Of England by Alison Weir. Despite the title, Eleanor herself takes to the sidelines, and you learn more of her husbands and sons. However, the book held my interest and is worthy of 3 stars. It was good! My first Alison Weir book and I look forward to reading more.
  13. Hi, Martina and welcome
  14. I am glad to see the Chrissie Manby book is in your most impressive list gives me more of a good reason to try it out. Looks like you have had a good reading month! It’s nice to see most of the books you have enjoyed.
  15. Yayh for so many 4 and 5 star reviews
  16. Sherlock Gnomes This was an okay film, a few funny moments but not one I’ll be looking to rewatch. I am not sure about all cinemas but the vue have reduced the prices to see a film from almost £10 to £4 99.
